Anduril is now making missile that only cost $5 million instead of the $40 million the MIC has been charging. The missile that struck the boat in my unprofessional opinion was something like a Hellfire which is more than capable of getting the job done. At $130,000 to $160,000 the SOB should serve breakfast and butter your toast before leaving the tube or aircraft !

That is nothing, the higher-end ones come with their own lobbyist and internet circle-jerk! Besides it is only MICkey-mouse money and we can just print more. Every $1000 spent is $1000 towards American jobs and protecting America's place in the world, so well worth it! Lol

Could that boat have reached the U.S.A from Venezuela?

I can't see any additional fuel on board.

And if it was full of 16 people, and chock to the hilt with drugs, as is suggested, that would appear to be even less capacity.

This seems a little suspect imho, considering the nearest part of the U.S. would seem to be 1000 miles distant.
"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

Quote:...The administration has said 11 people were aboard the vessel. It was unclear whether they were given a chance to surrender before the United States attacked.

The Trump administration has not offered any legal rationale...

But some officials at the Defense Department privately expressed concern on Wednesday about the administration’s shifting narratives, including where the vessel was headed. Mr. Rubio had said on Tuesday that it was going to Trinidad, while Mr. Trump said the United States. On Wednesday, Mr. Rubio changed his version, saying the drug-laden boat was bound for the United States...

A Defense Department official questioned whether a boat that size could hold 11 people...

A former senior federal law enforcement official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive military matter, said the attack was a “significant change” in U.S. anti-narcotics operations...

The former official also said it was unusual to have 11 people manning a vessel that could easily be crewed by two or three, especially since traffickers are always trying to maximize the amount of cargo space devoted to carrying drugs, not human beings.

In the former official’s opinion, it was more likely that the vessel was carrying migrants on a human smuggling run. It would be impossible to know for sure, however, given that any evidence of drug smuggling was destroyed in the attack...

Stop trying to objectively discern reality from available facts. It's cute, but it's impossible and unnecessary. The narrative has been set, that's all that really matters.

The U.S. owns this. Can't blame Peru like when the Christian Missionaries got shot down in 2001.
It only took 9 years for accountability for that one.

Have any maps been released? I seem to remember that maps are usually shown to the public to inform us of when and where things like this happen.
There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people. - Commander William Adama
