Which has what to do with ISIS actually killing people by jihad?

The west has very different goals than ISIS.  And ISIS isn’t compatible with countries that actually have degrees of human rights like freedom of religion.

I don’t know many who like chemotherapy to combat aggressive cancers.  But powerful cures have consequences. If you don’t think aggressive sicknesses don’t take aggressive medicines that have consequences, then you believe a con.  And I don’t see ISIS giving up their use of violence to implement their desire for a caliphate any time soon.

How about ISIS start by giving up on jihad.

They are all getting in bed with each other if it serves their purposes. One day a Syrian leader is a jihadist terrorist, the next day an ally to the USA. But, hey, you do Trump's quest for money and power no matter what.

"Less than a year after his lightning power grab, Syria’s president is capping his transformation from jihadist to global statesman in a historic visit to the White House that says as much about the young leader as it does his push for his country’s diplomatic reinvention."

Are you posting we should turn the Middle East into a glass parking lot.  That the only solution is war.  Added.  Not everyone in the Middle East is ISIS.  You understand that.

I’m guessing the real issue for you is not that.  But at least the US, and hopefully the rest of the world, getting together to prevent China from having a monopoly on rare earth minerals and getting a strangle hold in the world.  You don’t seem to concerned with China’s rape of the world, pollution, lack of human rights/ freedom of religion, forced labor, and blatantly unfair trade practices.

So dismissive when the innocent victims are Christian

Some Democrats are fine with trying to assimilate thousands of Somalians because of thier home country's plight

Conversely fuck them Christian Nigerians ... am I right?

FWIW...
Quote:How bad is Christian situation in Nigeria

The situation for Christians in Nigeria is extremely severe, with Nigeria consistently ranking as one of the most dangerous countries in the world for Christians due to high levels of violence and persecution.

Key Threats and Violence
Christians face targeted attacks primarily in the northern and Middle Belt regions from:
  • Islamist militant groups like Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
  • Armed Fulani herdsmen (often described as radicalized).
These attacks involve killings, abductions, destruction of churches and villages, and sexual violence, particularly against women. Open Doors' World Watch List 2025 highlights Nigeria as the deadliest place for Christians globally, with more faith-related killings there than in the rest of the world combined (reporting around 3,100 Christian deaths in the prior reporting period, though trends indicate ongoing high violence).
Statistics and Reports
Advocacy groups like Intersociety and Global Christian Relief cite figures of over 7,000 Christians killed in 2025 alone (averaging ~30-35 per day in some reports), alongside thousands abducted and displaced. Specific incidents include massacres in Benue and Plateau states, church raids, and school abductions (e.g., hundreds of children from a Catholic school in late 2025).
Counter Perspectives
More neutral sources like the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) and BBC analyses emphasize nuance: much violence stems from complex factors including farmer-herder clashes over land/resources (exacerbated by climate change), banditry, and ethnic tensions, rather than purely religious motives. ACLED data shows that explicitly religion-targeted civilian killings are a small proportion of overall violence (e.g., ~317 confirmed Christian-targeted deaths vs. broader ~21,000 civilian deaths from 2020–Sept 2025), and jihadists also kill many Muslims. Some claims of "genocide" or exclusively anti-Christian targeting are disputed as oversimplified or inflated.
Government and Discrimination Factors
The Nigerian government often frames incidents as non-religious conflicts and has been criticized for inadequate response or impunity for perpetrators. In northern Sharia-law states, Christians face additional discrimination (e.g., restrictions on church building or school operations). This has led to U.S. redesignation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern in 2025 and even airstrikes on Islamist targets.
Overall, while not all violence is strictly religious and affects multiple groups, Christians disproportionately suffer brutal, targeted attacks in affected areas, making their situation very bad—marked by fear, displacement (millions internally displaced), and loss of life—with little sign of abatement as of late 2025.

US launches strikes against Islamic State militants in northwest Nigeria, Trump says

Nigeria says:
Quote:Nigeria's government has said armed groups target both Muslims and Christians, and U.S. claims that Christians face persecution do not represent the complex security situation and ignore efforts to safeguard religious freedom. But it has agreed to work with the U.S. to bolster its forces against militant groups.

The country's population is split between Muslims living primarily in the north and Christians in the south.

Bill Maher and Ted Cruz have been unduly influenced by lobbyists.
Quote:Who has been campaigning on this?

Concerns about threats facing Nigerian Christians has been discussed by politicians in the United States and by international Christian groups for a long time.

In previous years, it has been raised in the US by the Indigenous People of Biafra (Ipob) – a group proscribed in Nigeria which is fighting for a breakaway state in the mainly Christian south-east.
Intersociety has been accused by the Nigerian military of being linked to Ipob but the NGO has denied any connection.

Another Biafran separatist group has also claimed to have played a key role in promoting the "Christian genocide" narrative in the US Congress.

The Biafra Republic Government in Exile, BRGIE, described it as a "highly orchestrated effort", saying it had hired lobbying firms and met US officials, including Cruz.

The senator declined to comment.

Nigeria has a long history. The Islamic form of Abrahamic religion made inroads first in the 16th-19th Century, even had a caliphate, mostly in the North and North East. Then the British Empire came in in 19th Century. The Southern part, not yet converted to Abraham, was missionized by Christians.

The NE areas plagued by Boko Haram, Fulani herders and IS are majority Muslim. The victims of their violence are majority Muslim.

If the U.S. truly cared about Christian persecution in Northern Nigeria, then they should accept immigration from Northern Nigeria of Christian Asylum Seekers.
There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people. - Commander William Adama

Nope.

The Jihadi Muslims who are slaughtering innocent Christians, are not themselves innocent.  AI Google Assist says  100,000 to 125,000 Christians killed since 2009 in Nigeria alone, by Muslims.  The Christians are NOT killing Muslims, but the Muslims ARE killing Christians.
