Project 2029 - Democrat Version of Project 2025
#1
Yeah ... Project 2029 ... it's a thing.

Some far right Republicans came up with Project 2025.   It had ridiculous and impossible pie-in-the-sky dreams about what their vision of a far right utopia in America could be with a President that followed their directions.   The Democrats tried to tie Trump to it and claim that he was going to implement it.  But Trump said he wasnt' in on it and wasn't going to, and when elected he proceeded to do things that went in the opposite direction of Project 2025.

Now the Democrats have come up with their version called Project 2029.  It's their pie-in-the-sky dreams about what their vision of a far left utopia in America could be with a President that followed their directions.  Democrats try to copy what the Republicans have going for them .... when the right had the Tea Party, they tried The Coffee Party.  When Trump did well with Joe Rogan, the Democrats decided they need their own Joe Rogan, not realizing you can't create that it has to evolve organically.

Here is the site ... Feel free to read up and discuss.

Project 2029 Site

I'll start.  Their 'bring balance and fairness in justice'.  It leads to a rant about expanding the Supreme Court.   In other words, they want to pack the court.  Something that almost all justices, even left wing powerhouse Ruth Bader Ginsberg, have been very much against.

Their statement reads - A court that no longer serves justice must be reformed. The Supreme Court, once a check on power, now tilts under the weight of partisanship. With a nation of 330 million governed by the rulings of just nine, the balance is broken. It is time to restore it.

They complain about 'partisanship' ... The partisan people on the court are the left wingers who rule by emotion and politics instead of ruling by the Constitution.  The rulings of nine are just fine.  Having nine supreme court justices isn't 'broken' and as long as it rules by the Constitution it is serving justice just fine.

They can't get people behind their agenda, so they must rule by fiat.

It's almost like Washington is run by 99% hypocrites who will turn on a dime for political capital.

I could make a career unraveling the activist tripe they are clearly selling.

Every feel good trope, every virtue signal phrase...

This is definitely the work of college graduates... (no offense folks.)

I suspected, as I hesitate to dive into this... that it would be replete with every activist mantra they have ever heard... but no rule says they can't have some good points... so I went looking...

I couldn't stomach the search for long.

I will return, but in regards to that first OP....

"A court that no longer serves justice must be reformed. The Supreme Court, once a check on power, now tilts under the weight of partisanship. With a nation of 330 million governed by the rulings of just nine, the balance is broken. It is time to restore it."

So their point is there is no justice...  uh no... that's not precisely what they said.... that's  only what you know they meant.... is there a word for that kind of propaganda? Hmmm...

At what point in any country's history on Earth has "the court" been uninfluenced.... ever?
The parties are the poster children for "politically flexible justice"... how can this be taken seriously?

Those 9 justices rule over law suits.  They never have ruled anything...
that they rule is yet another Hollywood mind virus.

For these folks the "balance" will be broken until they win... then all would be well.
