Breaking news: Brian Wilson, the founder of the Beach Boys, whose catalogue of hits includes “I Get Around,” “Don’t Worry Baby” and “California Girls," has died at 82.

RIP Brian Wilson and Sylvester Stewart (Sly of Sly and the Family Stone). Their talent will live on.

I loved the Beach Boys as a young child, but that fondness didnt continue into adulthood.

Sly Stone, that adoration continues to adulthood, the dude brought so much to us. 

Both are integral to the "LA sound".

EDIT: Just off the top of my head 409 is the only BB song I can recall not explicitly about surfing.
