Trump shot?
(07-16-2024, 05:44 PM)FlyingClayDisk Wrote: I believe it is the 'False Flag' thread.  I want to say page 4-5.  I think  pianopaze was the poster (not positive).

I'll go look.

Edit - Man, I was WAY off!  I got the poster correct, but the thread was the SEAL thread, and it was page 2

Here it is

The spray in the 2nd video is actually the yellow boom-lift behind the Deere tractor.  It's a blown hydraulic line.  The boom was holding up the speaker array.  The line would have been under pressure, thus the spray when the line was hit, and the boom telescoping back down.

Thanks Disk. I wrote to my retired Secret Service West Wing contact for his take as the hydraulic line is an excellent explanation. Just whose bullet did that?

Point #3 - He stashed the firearm at the rally site before the rally (possibly even days before). We know this by the tone of the woman screaming in item #2 above. If you listen to her voice, she sounds astonished and distraught. It's like she's truly surprised that he's acting out on something they may have snidely or sarcastically discussed. She sounds stunned that he's apparently walked away from the group (thus the "Get over here!" statement). 'Here' where the rest of the group he was with is; she's telling him to come back. It made his fantasy seem real to him.

I thought about that, too. The tall pine trees that hide the ladder could have been a good hiding place for the rifle.

However, I remember reading that the rifle, belonging to the kid's father, was lent to him on the same day as the rally. Took me a bit, but found something about that here...

ABC News
Quote:
Suspect asked to borrow dad's AR-15-style rifleABC News learned that on the day of the shooting, Crooks told his father he wanted to go to a shooting range and asked if he could borrow his dad's AR15-style rifle, said a source familiar with the matter. Since the father had occasionally allowed Crooks to go target shooting with the semiautomatic firearm, he didn't think anything was suspicious when he let him use the rifle again on Saturday, the source said.

Which, if true, leads me to ask if the father knew about his son's political affiliations and if he did, why hadn't he questioned his son why he wasn't going to the rally, but the shooting range, instead?

Well, in the end, it looks like the kid turned the rally into his own personal shooting range.

Yes, the pine trees could very well have been a convenient hiding place, and another possible location would have been under the bottom edge of the steel building siding down at the ground.

And yes, regarding the 'borrowing' of the rifle from the father earlier that day.  He very well might have broken the firearm down and stashed it in one or more pieces earlier in the day at the rally site location.  Clearly, the fact the shooter could have gotten away with this is yet another example in a very long list of security failures by the SS and local LEO's.

Based on my analysis of the angles involved, my observation would be the bullet which ruptured the hydraulic line came from the shooter.  Given his position atop the building was to the 'left' of the stage, this would have put the boom lift in the 'backstop' area of a bullet's trajectory fired from the shooter's location.

Now being reported by Dan Bongino (ex SS) that local PD was supposed to have a sniper on the roof Crooks was on, but they didn’t show up. Video in link.

This actually 'computes'.  This would possibly explain why the ladder was left in place in the first place.  Either way, it's still a massive lapse in security protocol for multiple reasons, but it would explain the possible reasoning why the ladder was allowed to remain serviceable leading up to the event.

Finally got a better pic of the ladder. It is not fixed to the building. It’s a 12 foot step ladder. I thought it looked like it widened at the end in the other photos.

By golly, you are absolutely correct!  Man, I could swear I saw another photo which looked different, like it was a 'ships ladder' up the side of the building (albeit not to Code).

Another thing, I didn't realize that pine tree was as close to the alcove opening between the two buildings as it is.  What an ideal spot to get up to some nefarious activity!  All the more reason to have securely guarded or protected this area.

I also notice there is a mobile lighting plant in the bottom center of the picture (the mast has been folded down).  I wonder if this was placed there for the rally, or afterwards as part of the investigation?  If it was placed there to help illuminate the rally event then one would think there would be personnel nearby to ensure its proper operation.  (Just so, so, many security lapses all around this incident!)

edit - The lapses in security discovered so far surrounding this incident are so numerous, now it wouldn't surprise me if the shooter showed up at the front gate to the rally event with a 12' foot ladder slung over one shoulder and a rifle slung over the other (with a laser range finder hung around his neck), and he was waved right in..."Come on in, buddy!  Welcome to the rally!"  (just shaking my head).

How the hell did he get the ladder there? I’m totally confused. We have reports of a conversion van with AZ plates being towed away. Yet, they are reporting he showed up to the event in a Hyundai. No way in hell a 12 foot ladder fits into a Hyundai…..

If I were to hazard a guess...if your earlier post about authorities planning to use this location as an observation point, or location for a counter-sniper team, then the Keystone Kops might have placed the ladder there for him.  I thought I read somewhere that the shooter bought a ladder at HD before the event (but I thought it was stated to be a 'step ladder').  It would be interesting to know exactly what he bought from HD, and how does this compare to the ladder in the picture?

Lots of remaining confusion about the vehicle he arrived in.  What I saw (in one photo) was an older model GM pickup.  This was the vehicle which explosive materials were found in.

They reported that he bought a 5 foot step ladder at Home Depot. Not  a 12 foot. There’s so much disinformation, it’s hard to make heads or tales of anything.

A GM pickup? This is the first I’ve heard of that. Would make sense for a 12 foot ladder. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills as this is all so confusing.

Couldn’t find a photo online of this. So I had to take a pic of my tv with my phone.

Crooks cell phone and what looks like a tv remote, probably used as a detonation device.
