To be fair, it was blatantly misleading. They had a falling out decades ago before Epstein was even on anyone's radar. Elites everywhere were still hanging out with him and Trump disassociated himself.

It doesn't matter why, in this context.  The sentiment of the statues is blatantly untrue. It is a common tactic. Throw out a "headline" that can't be unseen and then say oopsie in muted tones.  It's just very very dishonest and despicable behavior regardless of who does it.

Removing it was a correct response. Imagine if someone had put up a statue of Biden and his tween daughter showering and the quote from her diary as the plaque.

I can see you find some glee in this, but you should reconsider those kinds of motives.

I don't think it's misleading because their friendship/dealings spanned almost 20 years. It's freedom of speech, don't you know?

Trump ditched Epstein not for him being a creep but rather because a real estate transaction was more important.
