They do screen to some degree. But there’s a teacher shortage.

They do screen them, it's just that if/when they find anything weird, they're afraid to call them on it. Liberals have made such a fuss of "diversity" hires, they're afraid of getting sued for discrimination.

Seems like it's easier for them to do damage control after the fact than grow a pair and say No, we're not hiring your freaky ass.

So what if the person doing the screening is not a liberal?

The issue would seem to transcend the left-right mentality some people assume wags the dog's tail.

If your job is to screen people, it's not about political affiliations.

It's about health and safety.

There will be rules to follow and procedures that are supposed to be outlined and upheld.

Don't get me wrong, we are no better over here, and the amount of wrong'yins allowed to slip through, substantial.

Maybe I should have said Liberal policies. Local school boards are heavily influenced by politics and the Teachers Union. Both of those have massive power over standards of hiring and firing and threaten to sue at the drop of a hat.
