Seems a shame that mainstream media is featuring science 'tabloidism' news... but perhaps also telling of the talent pool in use at the moment.

I've seen marbling like that on earth rocks, but being no geologist, I wouldn't dare speculate knowing there's a lot of knowledgeable members out there who can speak more confidently on such appearances.

MSN's choice to offer the toppled zebra statue as a graphic 'enticement' to click means they are "learning" from monetized YouTube creators...
