Terribly disturbing things. Chase Hughes explains Emotional DEBT and it seems directly relevant to this topic of discussion. I suspect the point  you want to make is less so about  prostitution itself, and how certain behaviors and traumas continue to have dire consequences into the growing life of the individual affected especially into adulthood.

Or maybe it was primarily prostitution and the psychological aspect is the bonus. Either way, I feel understanding this novel concept of emotional debt goes a long way to undoing the damage and trauma that is at the center of so many self-destructive behaviors and anxieties. I hope I have understood properly the idea you wanted to convey with this post.
