I was reading through random alternate news sites and found this very current news which warms my cockles.

The MP Braun from Polish Parliament is running for President and getting a lot of attention for his anti-EU views.  Including such stunts as trampling on the EU flag,  burning it outdoors, and ripping down a Ukrainian flag from public building.  
I think he is very courageous and hope he gets the vote.

The European Parliament has voted to strip right-wing Polish MEP Grzegorz Braun of his EP immunity, clearing the way for the Polish authorities to prosecute him for allegedly inciting racial hatred.

Braun’s Polish parliamentary immunity had already been revoked but his election to the EP in June 2024 granted him EP immunity. That was lifted on May 6.

The MEP, currently a candidate for Poland’s presidential election due on May 18, attracted international condemnation in December 2023 when he used a fire extinguisher to douse candles on a menorah during a Hanukkah Jewish festival celebration in the Polish parliament.

Following the controversial act, Braun defended his actions, saying: “There can be no place for acts of racist, tribal Talmudic worship on Polish soil.”

His Polish parliamentary immunity was then removed.

On May 6 this year, he MEP was also involved in another controversy when he desecrated a European Union flag at the Ministry of Industry in Katowice, southern Poland.

Braun was filmed removing the banner, wiping his shoes on it and later setting it alight outside the building. He posted a video of the incident on X, declaring: “This is Poland, not Brussels.”

One wonders if an EU flag can be "desecrated". It is a secular organization, is it not?

The latest such outburst came during a presidential debate on April 28 when he called the daffodil symbol of the Warsaw Jewish Ghetto uprising a “sign of shame and Judaisation of Poland”....

He was also facing prosecution for his unauthorised entry onto a hospital ward where he attempted to make a citizen’s arrest of a doctor who had performed an abortion in the ninth month of pregnancy.

The Polish MEP, as well as being a fervent nationalist, is a devout Catholic opposed to abortion and supportive of the return of Latin mass.

This is very different from American Catholics. I wonder how common this is in Poland?

He is an uber Catholic, I am not sure how I Feel about the dousing of the candles in public but I  still hope he gets more traction.  Maybe that is what the country needs. But I am behind his anti EU rhetoric for sure.
It takes brash actions to wake the public up to outside influence.

It didn't take long from the EU to slap on the ol RACIST card do not collect 200 Euros go directly to the corner, but not sure how i feel about the ol hannukah thing.
Not because OH NO THE CHOSEN PEOPLE but rather, a flag is one thing for a nonexistent country, or a foreign flag flown in another country okay disrespectful but he is proving a political point -
but a religion to me is a sacred thing.

As an American I respect freedom of religion. Now when it's kind of shoved in your face like broadcasting call to prayer over a loudspeaker in a traditionally Christian country, then the line is getting ragged between that and a cultural invasion, it's not assimilation nor respect towards the host country - 'can you do that a little quieter please? ' so it's complicated isn't it?

Yeah extreme is right.  I don't agree with some of the stunts .

I do agree with getting the EU out of Polish politics and putting themselves first.
A shame we have to resort to nuttery to get attention sometimes as humans.

He's exactly the politician that gets popular when too much diversity makes people uncomfortable.

Although Poland has a lot of bigot types, I don't think Poland is racist enough for even Slowamir, let alone that guy.  Seems the progressive Mayor of Warsaw leads, but is too woke for an outright victory.  So it will likely go to a run-off against the law and justice candidate, who could win by virtue of not being on board with rainbows, which along with righteously fighting globalism, is the most important issue EVERYWHERE.

And mostly from our example and influence upon world politics, for better or worse.  Just dont tell the anti-EU Poles their per capita GDP is 40% higher since joing the evil NWO, via The EU.

This should be the Global National Anthem, if the One World Order were to ever demand one. I know it's a really over used song, 2nd time ive posted it, but this song deserves a fucking Nobel Peace Prize.

What is really sad is that we all need each other to work together to help all of humanity. We need a new paradigm, that being, caring for all over profit.

Imagine if Trump was truthful on his campaign trail and told everyone that tariffs are paid by the companies then they would have no choice but to pass the extra costs on to you. Imagine if Trump told citizens that he will circumvent Congress, fire oversight inspectors, let Elon Musk run rampant and dismantle departments that are investigating his companies with no transparency...Trump would never have been elected.

So when politicians run a BS campaign, no amount of self-education on economics, policy, politics etc. will matter. So one's education level does not matter in the atmosphere of being scammed by expert scammers.

This Polish politician needs to learn a lesson from Trump and that is to lay on the BS piled high and deep and just tell the people what they want to hear - then do his extremist BS after the he wins, of course after removing all barriers to his power.

I am of the mindset that most people all over the world just want to be able to live comfortably. From what I am witnessing elsewhere, take Germany as an example, any extremist right or left wingers running for a seat never seem to get elected if that is what they lead with during their campaigns.

But this shows that evil Populism is getting a big boost from Trump.

People can be nationalistic without being xenophobic or racist.
