I've just finished rereading "Majestic" not that long ago by Whitley Strieber.

Quite an interesting book framed as fiction regarding the little critters in question.

Whitley is very Catholic in his own way and has even written a book called Jesus: A New Vision.  I haven't read it but I believe it deals with finding the Christ Consciousness, or magick if you will, in all of us. 
I don't think he has ever mentioned trying to 'exorcise' the Greys in the name of Jesus. 

Additionally, Crowley did not summon Greys at any point of his life.  An entity called LAM who is said to resemble a Grey, but that is debatable, was said to show up on it's own during the Amalantrah Workings, which were a series of scryings that used meditation, opiates, and I think ether, and various female seers/scryers to astrally travel and receive messages, visions etc.  LAM was not the focus nor the object of the rituals.

Lastly, you do not generally summon with a pentagram.  You can invoke, sure.  But most commonly in Western Hermeticism pentagrams are used for banishings and for protection.
Pentagram represents the microcosm, and elemental forces of the universe.  I suppose you could use one to try to invoke a Grey but it would not be the best use.  We don't even know if they would correspond to Earth, Air, Water, Fire or what.  I think something Goetic or even a Hexagram as part of the macrocosm would work better.

I actually have a memory of waking up laying on a table in a dark room with one of those Greys putting a needle in my eye, when I had 3 hours Missing Time in the Woods. I am putting it down to a False Memory from watching Sightings on Cable TV as a kid, and associating it with the Missing Time. What I had sounds like a text book Cryptid Encounter, in which others have reported being Zapped/Infrasound by them and having Missing Time, sickness, blood in urine etc. It broke my watch which never worked again. I was sick for days and the kid who was with me went to the Drs the next day for blood in urine. Although I have heard Cryptids are involved with 'Greys'. I dont know if it is an Amnesia Barrier you create as a coping mechanism or they make you forget it, but I never thought about it again for years. Not worth getting Hypnotism. Could give you more Trauma. Most people do not want Hypnotism.

That whole "Christ consciousness" bit isn't Christian. It is a Easter/Pagan/New-Age bit of syncretism.

Life usually ends up optimized for their environment.

But we have such a limited exposure to environments different than our own.

Imagine what sort of life form might exist inside the chromosphere of a star? Probably the energy gradients around sunspots and flares would provide a 'nook' for a very different type of life to exist - a structured plasma.

And we could have been looking directly at them for ages and never realizing what we are looking at.

these life forms would have nothing to do with how do we know life. THey certainly did not have our evolution history and very little connection to us. They would look for another life form to contact that lives around another star chronosphere.
