They are said to be able to store "souls" in containers like prisoners to prevent them from entering new bodies and that they visit earth to harvest such souls and drop off bad ones.
The soul storing in containers is a new one to me!
Do you have any sources on that you can share, please?

I heard it on one of those paranormal podcasts some time ago, probably a year or more, so my memory is sort of fuzzy since I listen to a long continuously changing list of podcasts.
The details of the comment were paraphrased: "They then kill their captive (human) in a 'sealed' room that disallows the 'soul' from escaping should they lose control of it. And immediately following the death the 'soul' is forced into a large container that stands over 8 feet tall and made of advanced materials designed to hold the 'soul' within. The containers are stored in deep isolated chambers with extremely thick walls much like hazardous waste containers here on Earth. The 'souls' can be released at a later time by opening the containers, or forced into a new body. They can be stored in this manner indefinitely."
Yeah it sounds a lot like Ghostbusters lol.

Bottom line is they could not endure Earths atomosphere or its weather without protective gear - Greys can not be live ET's or even us from the future IF and I mean IF the greys are a actual thing they are not biological.

i wouldn't focus on greys as an example. this image simply popularized due to few encounters became mainstream.
Them come in squares that float, glowing spheres, gremlins and many more shapes.
My guess, if greys are bio robots, then they must be a simplified version of their creators.
but what about all these other possible life forms? Do they wear a space suite as well or it is a natural form.
The movie 'The 5th Element' opening scene, where space ship lands in a desert and aliens walked out of the ship...Was obvious, aliens were wearing space gear...i then wondered what they might look like...but none made any sense. It could be a drone then? Was just asking myself aloud.)

Here is how ChatGPT sees things :
The “grey alien” look did NOT start with Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) — it was already well-established in UFO lore long before the film. Spielberg used imagery that was already circulating in UFO reports.
Here’s the short, clear timeline:
? Before 1900 – early fiction- 1893 – H. G. Wells wrote about small, grey-skinned, big-headed future humans.
- 1895 & early 1900s – Sci-fi illustrations sometimes showed thin, big-eyed humanoids.
Not UFO-related, but the visual idea already existed.
? 1940s–50s – early UFO sightingsThese didn’t usually describe greys. They mostly mentioned: - Human-looking “Nordic” beings
- Small “goblin”-type creatures (e.g., the Hopkinsville incident, 1955)
Still not the classic grey alien.
? 1961 – The Betty and Barney Hill AbductionThis is the first major UFO case with beings close to modern greys: - Small beings
- Large cranium
- Big eyes (not fully like today’s greys yet)
- Greyish skin
This is usually considered the birth of the “grey alien” in UFO culture.
? 1975 – The UFO Incident (TV movie)Their story was dramatized, and the artists made the aliens look even more like the modern greys. That imagery spread widely.
? 1977 – Close Encounters of the Third KindSpielberg’s aliens: - Small, thin
- Large head
- Large eyes
These helped cement the grey-alien image in mainstream culture, but they did not create it.
? 1987 – Whitley Strieber’s CommunionThe book’s cover painting of a classic grey alien is arguably what made the modern “Grey” globally iconic.
? Bottom Line- The grey alien did not originate with Close Encounters.
- Real-world UFO/abduction reports had described similar beings since at least 1961 (Hill abduction).
- Spielberg simply used a visual already circulating in UFO stories and pop culture.

Life usually ends up optimized for their environment.
But we have such a limited exposure to environments different than our own.
Imagine what sort of life form might exist inside the chromosphere of a star? Probably the energy gradients around sunspots and flares would provide a 'nook' for a very different type of life to exist - a structured plasma.
And we could have been looking directly at them for ages and never realizing what we are looking at.

Would an old bank vault or a morgue cool room be useful?
Asking for a friend.
I was not here.
