I remember one modern art exhibition that really impressed me. I had to enter a very dark corridor. It was so dark I didn't see anything so a staff member had to lead me by a hand. Round the corner, we entered a dark room where there stood a statue of a ghost dimly lit with only one candle.
Apart from that I like surrealism. My favorite painter is Salvador Dali. Of more modern painters I like a Polish dystopian surrealism artist, Beksinski. This is one of his paintings:
