I was going to put this in Politics but it is much bigger than that.
It is not just a Right or Left thing.
As I have been crowing for months or even years, we need to step away from the partisan bickering, the emotional brainwashing of 'my side' vs 'your side,' and especially away from 'oh it's the lesser of two evils.' That is not acceptable .I have been advocating for a third way, a disconnect out of the Game for quite some time.
This recent news sickens me and it is only more proof of the two party shell game,[ even in other parts of the Western World, like Europe, all the political parties , while not as rabid, can roughly be put down to Socialists versus Conservatives] while behind the scenes the corporations that own the governments implement their CCP style wet dream. The difference being, in Europe people are far more tired of political nonsense, and so they have some (pretend) viable third parties, and when their parliaments get gridlocked, the big bureaucratic fascist fat cats in Brussels step in anyway and regulate over legality. This political fatigue and perhaps surrender is also illustrated in the very large abstention rate in voting in most European countries.
But that's just a backdrop.
Biden was bad, but now Trump is shaping up to be bad in his own way too.
Why?
Recall the first term of Trump, it seemed more logical, more focussed. Then something happened and he seemed to lose his swagger, near the end of his first term. It is like something 'got to him,' and he was threatened.
Now we have his second term, and he is putting in the Control Mechanism that was Biden's parties' wet dream also. Elon is a part of this from a technology stand point.
Both parties are 2 hands of the same evil body, especially since Trump (who I believe used to be America first, but is now coopted) wants to pass this evil bill against all American freedom stands for, and would feed the fascist technocracy.
They tried to implement this under COVID but there was larger backlash.

And with these two things - the No State Interference with our Artificial intelligence Plans for Ten Years, and no medical or health care sovereignty and privacy - we have the two reasons no one is talking about in either faction of the uniparty, and the real reasons that some are in such a rush to pass it.
These are strange times indeed, for though my reasons are quite different from theirs, who would have thought that I, traditionalist curmudgeon extraordinaire, would find myself in agreement with Chuck Schumer and Rand Paul all at the same time."
