Greetings DI,
I'm starting this as to not derail a different thread. As the title says, what's your go-to? I've got a few...
Year round it's La Chouffe. This is an 8% Belgian blonde ale.
Winter it's Troeggs Mad Elf, or the Mad Elf Grand Cru. Both are Belgian style brewed with cherries and honey and check in about 11%.
Spring usually brings out the good IPAs and my fav is/was Troeggs First Cut. It's an IPA brewed with mango and it's outstanding. Unfortunately, you can only get it at the brewery in Hershey, PA now.
Summer it's Sam Adams Porch Rocker. I call it lemonade for grown ups. Their Summer Ale is good too.
Fall it's Pauler Octoberfest. Yeah, the real stuff. Sam Adams also makes a very good Octoberfest too.
So, bring it on! What are some good suggestions?
Cheers.

I am from Michigan and so is this beer. It was my fav. I quit drinking over 5 years ago. I had a problem. No more!
Be kind to everyone!

Growing up in the midwest, there were maybe 2-3 options that most people drank (Budweiser, Busch, and Coors). Everyone in my family always drank Bud Light, so naturally that is what I started drinking when I came of age.
Now, back when Bud Light had their little bit of misfortune with Dylan Mulvaney, you could not find it anywhere in my town. So I grabbed the next one I saw, Miller Light, and that is all I have bene drinking since.
Not a huge fan of heavy beers, IPA's or imports. Just not a fan of the taste, but I also don't drink for the alcohol content either lol
Edit: At the end of the day, I have to agree with Vermilion. The best 2 kinds of beer are cold and free. I will drink just about anything if offered it at someone's house, but I would not seek most of them out on my own.

11% beer kicks my ass LoL.
IPA’s are too skunky for me.
I prefer red beers and ales mostly if I have a choice.
At the end of the day there are only two kinds of beer…
Cold and free.
My go to is Shiner Bock.(Texas)
If I can find Abita Amber(Louisiana) or 805(California) or Smithwicks(Ireland) or Killians Irish Red(Colorado) then I’ll go for one of them instead.
If I’m in the pool all day or day drinking I’ll stick to coors light. Don’t shoot me. LoL
Beer threads are the best imho.

Smithwicks Red is good...but if you get it in Ireland it's to die for.

I literally saw 'The Bear Thread'. I was intrigued, "What could this be about?", then did a double-take, "Ahh, that makes sense", and now I'm just somewhat disappointingly adding my irrelevant commentary to a beer thread.
Carry on, folks.

Shiner Bock or Modelo Negra when I'm in Texas, Modelo Especial if I can't find the Negra and it's getting harder to find locally. { Kentucky }
IN THE BOTTLE. That canned shit is for target practice.

When I lived in New Zealand, Stoke Dark, a dark ale, was my favourite beer. I am not overly fond of beer, so having Stoke Dark around was fantastic. However, Stoke Dark wasn't always available in-store.
