By logic and even (I think) definition... this is not AI nor can it perform anything "agentic," it's just a tool.
LLMs (even one masquerading as an "AI") should only serve in meta research... not pure research... it requires auditing and editorship that the actual researcher is supposed to do.. the premise of the researcher themselves... not some synthetic homogenized pabulum... but then I suppose "appearances" usually suffice...
Most are calling it AI... in publications and media.
"New" specificity of the matter in the headline makes my point for me...
sort of like how "COVID" was "novel."
ML(Machine Learning) and deep learning are the at the core of a productive LLM.
The predictive text that we had many moons ago is also built using and is narrow AI.
AI is learning, reasoning and mixed with problem solving a perception(i.e. date influx and understanding)
