This is an interesting conversation about the centralization of AI.

One commenter said what I was thinking, that AI is not more intelligent it is only faster.




LLMs do not create creative thought, we can't even figure out how we do it. 

Don't ever get fooled thinking that these parasite elitists do anything with the goal of benefiting humanity, their goals are always for control, power and more and more money.

It's one thing when AI incorrectly concludes an alternate reality that can easily be identified after the fact and where no real serious harm was done, but let's consider when AI is applied to military operations where oversight might not be there or the oversight was too late which caused confusion and/or false conclusions of that false reality, then leading up to actions taken that can't be fixed after the fact.

I watched people "buy into" the bullshit for decades now... often astounded at the lack of thought that goes into that acceptance.

Yes... just as with the COVID there will be no 'easy' backing away from the flow towards the culling cliff.

I'm still partial to 'setting up' a means to re-establish a potential networking capability outside the "internet."....

How would that work? I can only think of all of us becoming ham radio operators and using an unregulated frequency. Is there an equivalent of a dark web wide range frequency in the ham radio world?

Well, honestly I am now angry that you know I will answer you.    

But since it is off topic, I will struggle to keep the topic perspective alive in it.

There will never be a monopoly of exploitable mediums with which anyone execute data transfer freedom.
(That 'exploitation' by the way, is the driving force to make everyone "comfortable" with embracing this "AI" they're all selling.)

Radio and radio propagation theory illustrates exactly how impotent they were rendered...
decade by decade it has been "regulated" into disuse...
but innovation never stops... not even for them.

They, as G. Carlin referred to them, the "owners...," are desperate to "manage" a world that no one can ever escape.  Monopolies are the Big Church...

But reality is such that they can not "control" it all... and eventually, maybe millennia from today, they will learn that humans can't actually "be controlled" as in their dreams of Utopia.

Vain, prideful intransigence, by people who actually believe they can literally define "leadership."

The internet isn't everything... it never was... it's was always virtual...  

Thus human operation in society will now DEMAND digital presence....

But now AI will be there... to explain why "it is what it is" in perfectly adequate language. 
(And to tell us what is, and what isn't, along the way.)
