Again, the sound wave (vibration & medium) is what causes air to move and make sound that is heard. The air is not separate, it is part of what makes heard sound, but it is a different component than the vibration & medium.
The medium has positive mass, and the sound wave has negative mass. The negative mass is what drives acoustic levitation, not air forces.
When someone throws a baseball at high velocity, the pitcher has mass, and the ball has mass, and the catcher has mass, but how much mass does a 'throw' have?
How can a 'thrown' ball strike something with force, if a throw has no mass?
Perhaps a 'throw' is a general description of several specific concurrent conditions, and isn't itself a physical object?
Or,
Perhaps a 'throw' is an antigravitational effect that causes a negative reality inversion which demodulates the wave/particle Eigenvalues of the observer quantum effect, and therefore, the strike force of the ball (in a way explicable by the Schrödinger equation), exists in superposition between Newtonian reality and the mind of the observer... as 'The Ancients'™ well knew!

Correct in theory. In practice, the vibration of the string can’t produce much movement in the ambient air, so it can’t produce a very loud sound. Neither the thickness nor the ‘rigidity’ (meaning exactly what?) of the wall are fundamental; what is fundamental is the mass per unit volume of the material of the wall and the difference between the pitch of the sound and the resonant frequency of the wall. These factors determines how much energy is required to set it in motion.
Notice I put the word ‘volume’ within inverted commas or use 'loudness’ as a synonym. The technical term for what we perceive as loudness is sound pressure level, or SPL, measured in decibels (dB). This is the best compromise we have for translating a psychological perception (loudness) into a physical quality (air pressure).

Exactly. That's why making a good acoustic guitar is not easy, everything in them may affect que quality of the sound.

For "rigidity" I meant the opposite of flexibility.

Sound needs a material medium like air, water, or steel because it's a vibration of the particles in that material.
Radio waves are completely different, and as has been explained, they're electromagnetic waves.
