you can also buy branded coolers and shop radios as well to complete the loyalty...

I read recently, somewhere, I forget, that Ryobi lawn mowers were catching on fire. So back to the battery pack drawing board.

The problem I have with Ryobi batteries is that if you don't keep them on the charger, a month or two of not using them seem to greatly decrease their power capacity. Annoying, perhaps one of those "design flaws" that's like "oh gee too bad we'll get around to fixing that real soon now, until then just keep buying new battery packs lol".

Looked up that recall:
Quote:Why Are These Ryobi Lawn Mowers Recalled?

The mowers are being recalled because of a faulty push-on connector on the inside of the powerhead that can overheat, posing a fire hazard. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s report on the recall, there have been 97 reports of mowers overheating while in use, five reports of fires and two minor burn injuries.

pareidolia /păr″ī-dō′lē-ə/ noun
  1. The perception of a recognizable image or meaningful pattern where none exists or is intended, as the perception of a face in the surface features of the moon.
  2. The tendency to interpret a vague stimulus as something known to the observer, such as interpreting marks on Mars as canals, seeing shapes in clouds, or hearing hidden messages in music.
