That dawg
#1
I saw this and instantly thought of my Daughter's dog. She is an American Bully and when she's around adults, she's friendly, outgoing and loves to be petted. She will sit beside you and lean against your legs to get attention or climb into your lap and snuggle in like you're her favorite Hooman, but she does it to anybody who will sit still long enough.

Put her around a child and she will ignore everyone else to entertain that kid like it's her sworn duty. She was a rescue my Daughter got from a shelter and had been used as a breeder. They locked her in a cage till it was time to mate her, then locked back up and only released when she had the pups to be have her breed again. The puppy farm was raided and the "people" who ran it got 6 years and are never allowed to own or breed dogs again.

Absolutely love those dogs!

I know a few people who have that breed and the smaller Staffordshire or “Staffies”!

The problem is training. A neighbour has 2 or 3 of them (hard to tell because they breed them and the dogs come and go), but the mother is absolutely vicious to any other dog outside of her family. She got out last year and attacked my Texas Heeler (ACD x Australian Shepherd) grabbed her by the throat and was flinging her around like a stuffed toy, while we were walking down the road by their house.

My dog was unable to fight back as she was 13 and had a tumour that we couldn’t remove in her lower jaw. It was an ugly/awful scene and they have never apologized. I beat the shit out of that thing to get it to let her go. She lived.

But her offspring have been the most wonderful, playful puppies anywhere!

I want a Staffie when I eventually start spending more time at home again. My old girl has since passed and I know I will never get the same temperament Heeler again.

Staffies are one of the best breeds.

Great with kids, great with everything.

6 years they got, good'good.

I imagine they will get to fight with plenty of other animals themselves now.

Hopefully they get used for ""breeding"" purposes.
