This is weird.
Chapter 5- In Hoover's Shadow Pages 116-138.
I'm focusing on Page 117.
"With 5 kids approaching college at about 2 year intervals and 15 years of government salary that hadn't been conducive to saving, it was time to save some money."
After he left his position as Attorney General he went to work at Lockheed Martin where he was paid $6 million a year.
Then he went to work at an investment firm Bridgewater Associates in Connect where he was paid $7 million.
They called him the "Godfather".

October 3, 2012 he sent a letter explaining that he was resigning. Then he started at Columbia Law School early 2013.
Then something very strange happened -
"? I was surprised ? That March, Attorney General Eric Holder called out of the blue to ask whether I would interview for FBI Director. He wasn't guaranteeing me the job, but said he wouldn't be calling personally if i wasn't going to be considered seriously considered."
Somehow I don't believe this was a real surprise. Who would leave a $7 million annual salary?

Sooo he's now #7 FBI Director.
Why didn't he investigate Eric Holder - Fast and Furious?
Page 121- The first FBI Director was J. Edger Hoover, "had led the organization for nearly 50 years, and built a culture around him that profoundly shaped the Bureau and its agents. For decades, Hoover used an iron hand to drive the agency and strike fear in the hearts of political leaders. He had personnel files on the many of them, something he let them know. He dined and drank with presidents and senators, letting them use the FBI when it suited him, and frightening them with the FBI when it suited him."
Maybe another template.
"It also created an environment in which the goal of most agents and supervisors was to avoid being noticed by Mr. Hoover. Tell him what he wants to hear, then get on with your work."
He spent a week shadowing Mueller.
On the first day he was to meet with leaders of each division one on one. Mueller then told him "he would meet with me after each of these sessions, to tell me what was really going on." < That shocked him?
"During the Obama administration I worked with two attorneys general- Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch.
Page 128 Here we go again "In my first fifteen months as director- Word for word like Bourla.
Page 3 "I WAS IN MY FIFTEENTH month as the company's CEO.
Back to Comey-
"I was amazed at the talent, but I was frightened by one trend. The special agent force since 911 had been growing steadily more white."
Page 131- He laid out his expectations and again like Bourla-
* I expected they would find [JOY] in their work.
Page 134 . . . < 3 DOTS.
He ends the chapter on page 138 with these inspiring words. "The only new thing in the world is the history you don't know. Humans tend to do the same dumb things, and the same evil things, again, and again, because we forget."
"Loretta Lynch was much quieter and new to Washington. She spoke little and when she did, frequently seemed tightly scripted. Lynch's relationship with Deputy Attorney Salley Yates seemed distant and strained. It was as if they and their staff simply didn't talk to each other."
