Well...

The logo this year is in stupid neon hi-lighter colors, and only one team's damn uniforms most resemble stupid hi-lighters, so the prospect of those f*cking seagull retard birds winning the "Big Game" is both infuriating and painful.

and Ive seen all the commercials and working on a beer and a slice of Bambanelli's pizza...

Definitely will buy fewer of the products presented. Never even thought I needed to use Manscape when my 10 dollar 3O year old WAHL trimmer does just fine.

Still, Manscape had a decent commercial, Budlight's keg roll was pretty good

I think  the NFL very much enjoys contentious or controversial performers, because it causes more viewers, which is good for the high-end companies who have coveted commercials during the pregame and Super Bowl.   I think Bad Bunny enjoys the controversy, because he is being talked about like never before,  at least in the U.S.   I think we can well count on him to do or say something designed to bump internet strife and conflict, similar to the Grammys statement.  No worries, y'all.   Everybody should have a voice.  Some people have a more important voice.  It doesn't burn.   I  think Green Day wants to regain relevancy, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them do something outrageous.

It's far from the first time that the NFL has chosen an edgy performer for halftime, it's merely the first time they've chosen a non-English speaker/singer.    This too, will pass.

What I really dislike, -- and it also isn't new -- is how politics has intruded into professional sports.   Yes, I know, it's a free speech matter.    Still, is nothing sacred?    Professional players are paid enough.   They can use their celebrity status all they want on their own time.    I would never want to legislate it, EVER, but I am disappointed that sports have become so smeared with the sticky juice of politics.

When my Bride and me were engaged, she said that she had two conditions.   Oboy, here we go.  She said, "one, you have to become a NASCAR fan."   "Oh joy,"  I said, "a three hour left turn, how exciting."   She said, "two, you have to become a Raiders fan.   You can keep your Seahawks, but you have to love the Raiders also."   As it turns out, both conditions were very easy, particularly in light of the  benefits package.

Its no big deal, the world is so over reactionary and yes the left wants to be edgy and controversial

I wish it didn't matter.    I wish we were all magically transported back to the time where we thought and believed in what we did, and were less concerned about what other people thought about it.

However, I think it matters.   I think there is a new American culture trying to emerge.    I'm not yet certain if it is beneficial to the species or not.   My current view is that it -- in its current state -- is not beneficial.  This new culture seems like it doesn't want to be responsible.  It seems like it wants to wild and let someone else pay for it.   I think this is the zone that the Biden administration was shooting for.

So this is me wishing politics could be apart from sports, talking about politics IN sports.

I think all collective human thought and opinions matter.   God help us, I hope we can find a way to work toward a common goal that doesn't personally divide the politicians that are promulgating the legislation that shapes the world.
