I always wanted to visit northern Alaska to see the aurora and the hub of the skydome, but here all I had to do was enjoy a soft serve. Lol

That very pretty picture aside, it is an interesting phenomena. And you're right that they do look like roving spotlights sometimes:

Interesting contradiction in that article about how they hadn't noticed this for a long time, but then found evidence of it in the historic record when they went back and looked.
