Speaker Johnson on Illegals and what Scripture Says

I love God, not a man in a robe who isn’t practicing what he preaches.  Correct me if I’m wrong, where are the housing by the Vatican?

It’s real easy to point fingers when you are NOT carrying the backs of so many!

This thread is directed to shoot the messenger and therefore also the message.

I won't ignore the message.

"Pope Leo XIV has consistently emphasized a message of welcoming, humility, and inclusion since his election in May 2025.  In his first public address, he declared, “Peace be with you,” and called for a Church that is “a missionary Church, building bridges, dialogue, always open to receiving with open arms for everyone.” He described this as a “disarming and humble and preserving peace” rooted in God’s unconditional love."

See the "building bridges" part? Well that could be interpreted as fixing broken systems or building new ones that work the way they should.

Lol  He was talking about the CATHOLIC CHURCH and how it should be inclusive.
Welcoming homosexuals and 'traditional' Latin Catholics, and conservatives and progressives  etc
He was not talking about immigration in the secular.
And even when he does talk about 'welcoming strangers' in the secular ... so what?
His New World Order vision of 'no borders' is bullshit.
A country MUST restrict the number of people it imports otherwise the country
can not sustain itself economically and socially there is no cohesion and it falls apart.

He applies the same scripture to many different situations, the message is clear.

Democrats in 2026:

"You should totally run the country like the Church and do what the Pope says, because he's the moral authority!"

I swear, this timeline just gets weirder and weirder.

Lol   He was talking about the CATHOLIC CHURCH.   You screwed up.

Again ... Even when in other situations he is talking secular about having no borders
it is total bullshit.   A country can only take in just so many foreigners otherwise the
country calls apart economically and there is no social cohesion.

The illegals are law breakers and line jumpers.   They all should be kicked out.   It's
not fair to those who come in through the system legally to even consider any of the
illegals to get amnesty.

As Speaker Johnson showed ..... borders and law enforcement are very much Christian
and aren't in any way 'anti-God' or 'anti-Christ'.   Trying to pull the 'welcome the stranger'
doesn't work.  It's being misquoted.     Welcome the LEGAL IMMIGRANTS ... and enforce
the laws against the ILLEGAL ones.

Pope Leo draws upon the 'welcome the stranger' mindset:

"Speaking from the central balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica before thousands gathered in St. Peter’s Square, the pope said the story of Christ’s birth — a child born without shelter, safety or power — demands that Christians reject indifference and exclusion. He urged believers to “welcome the stranger” and care for the vulnerable, saying faith loses its meaning when it is divorced from compassion."

Here is some scripture that the Pope urged others to follow:

They all have the same core message.
"The only journey is the one within."

Lol   The same left wing nitwits screaming that are the same left wing nitwits that go around saying the church has no business telling a woman that they can't have an abortion because it's immoral to have one.   Lol

His message about abortion is clear .... Abortion is a mortal sin that you go to hell for.
So are you now pro-life because Pope Leo says you must be?
Or are you just hugging on the left wing messages he puts out and not the others?

----

"The U.S. immigration system is widely considered broken due to a combination of outdated laws, overwhelming demand, and systemic inefficiencies. Outdated laws, many unchanged since the 1980s and 1990s, fail to reflect modern migration patterns, creating massive backlogs—over 3.3 million pending asylum cases as of March 2025—and making legal pathways nearly impossible for many.  The asylum system, designed for a few thousand victims of state persecution, is now overwhelmed by hundreds of thousands of migrants from diverse countries, including families and children, many of whom are not eligible for asylum but have no other legal way to enter.
Congress has failed to pass comprehensive reform since the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, leaving the system reliant on executive actions that are often temporary, legally contested, and inconsistent.  Enforcement and processing are misaligned: while agencies like ICE and CBP receive billions for detention and deportation, immigration courts and USCIS lack funding and staff, leading to years-long delays. This imbalance incentivizes border crossings and traps millions of undocumented immigrants—estimated at 13.7 million as of mid-2023—in a legal limbo, unable to gain status or citizenship.

The system also creates perverse incentives: asylum seekers are allowed to work while their cases are pending, and the slow process encourages prolonged stays. Meanwhile, employers benefit from undocumented labor, and industries rely on it, making reform politically difficult. As a result, the system functions as a patchwork of enforcement, discretion, and loopholes—neither fair nor effective—leaving both immigrants and the government in a cycle of crisis and short-term fixes. "

Keyword: Perverse as opposed to Christian behaviour

Since you like to bring up Christian behavior, I have some questions:

Do you consider it Christian behavior to cross the border into AZ, work at Applebees, while going to ASU and bragging that when you graduate you’ll be moving back to Mexico cause I’m quoting “I wound never live here”.  I actually met a girl who told me this once?

Do you consider it Christian to steal other peoples SSI#s to fraud every system possible.  Massachusetts just caught (shocking) two men in RI doing this very thing?  Stolen in the millions!

Do you think it is Christian to flood our country with fentanyl?

Do you think it is Christian to attack, rob, fake accidents to sue, murder, rape people in the country that let you in?  I have lived around all of this.  A child was raped in my neighborhood by a Haitian teenager?

I could go on and on, lots of examples.  The reality is, we need to know who is here.  If the system here failed you (I doubt it), why would you stay?
