Some stories
#1
My family since my great grandparents have been experiencing the paranormal.  My grandparents, my parents, my siblings and myself have also seen / felt / heard unexplainable things.  I'll start with myself, then my siblings and my parents.

Me:
Thankfully my experiences have been far and few between.  The most notable experience is when a friend and I were mountain biking in the "boondocks" of Forsyth Georgia.  My cousins at one point lived out there and I've always wanted to bike back there as it's relatively peaceful and full of history.  We stopped at the now abandoned home of my cousins.  We park, get on our bikes and head off.  About 200 feet down the road to the right of us is a very old graveyard from the 1800's.  It's pretty decrepit unfortunately.  We continued biking for a while until it started getting twilight, we decide to head back.  Now we are close to this graveyard which is on our left.  As we bike past, I see a beautiful orb in front of one of the tombstones at the back.

I stop, and point to it so my friend can see.  It's about the size of a basket ball with an "ocean" of purple / blue swirling on the inside of the orb.  I felt no ill will from it, in fact I felt more curiosity than fear.  However, my friend felt fear and biked off.  His reaction scared me so I joined him.

To this day I regret not going to meet it face to orb.

-

A quick story: I have an electric water boiler.  You fill it with water, click a little switch and it comes to a boil.  When done, the switch clicks up to turn off the boiler.  One day I was doing this to make some ramen noodles.  It clicked up, but I was kinda "phased out" thinking over my hectic day.  I was staring at the water boiler and saw the little switch click to the "off" position as it was done boiling the water.

Thinking, "Oh it's done" I was about to reach for it when all of a sudden the switch flipped from "off" to "on" by itself.  These boilers do not do this on their own.  I simply switched it to "off" again without much thought.  But later on, it hit me that "wait, that was unusual".  So what caused that I do not know, but I do know for a fact they do not turn on by themselves.

-

I was sitting at my mom's house in Georgia one night watching a movie with her.  All the lights were off and the blinds and curtains down.  All of a sudden I see a "shadow" run across the wall.  I looked at my mom to see if she saw it then turned back to the TV thinking it must have been a shadow from outside.  She asked me, "You saw it too?".  I tried to explain it away but the living room faces the woods plus all the curtains were down.  To get to the living room there's a long hall and there's no windows in that hall.  So she didn't buy my explanation that it "must have been lights from outside".

-

Back around 2006 I was again visiting my mom watching a movie.  She fell asleep and I lost interest in the movie and thought I'd lay back and relax for a moment before heading home.  I remember MTv was on and one of Madonna's new songs were on.  I was thinking, "That's not too bad of a song".  Then all of a sudden I see a beautiful glitter explosion on the ceiling.  Again, it didn't worry me.  It was just beautiful.

I wake my mom up to tell her I'm leaving.  She goes upstairs and I leave.  The next day I call my mom and tell her what I saw, you could hear her jaw drop through the phone.  She saw the same thing, but this time it was under the sofa table.  She explained it looked like "golden glittering fireworks".

-

My mom:
Back in my childhood home when I was about one year old, she put me to bed and she sat in the living room watching TV.  It was dark, and we had a cat that would sit on the arm rest next to her.  All of a sudden, the cat stands up on all four hair up and hissing towards the hall. My mom looks up and sees a shadowy man breathing heavily standing in the hall kinda with one arm up like he was just standing there chilling.

This freaked her out so she turned the end table lamp on, when she did it was gone.

-

Back in Pensacola Florida, my mom was sleeping in her bed.  The night before she heard heavy breathing (like the one she heard a decade or so ago).  A little freaked out she left the bathroom light on so it'd illuminate the bedroom a little.

She falls asleep, sometime during the night she wakes abruptly up to an icy cold hand holding her wrist.  She shoots up out of bed and looks around confused.  She ends up falling asleep on the couch with the TV blaring.

There's many more but I'll save those for another day.

Brother 1:

As a little kid (6-8) my youngest brother loved to play behind the sofa.  It was an "L" shaped sofa, but it was curved instead of an exact "L" leaving a gap behind the sofa in the corner.  He'd throw his blankets and a few toys back there and stay there for a while.  One day, he comes screaming out of that area running to my mom.  "Who's the man with the skeleton face!?".  My mom alarmed asked where, he replied "behind the sofa!".  She went to make sure there was no one there, sure enough it was just his blankets and a couple of toys.

But he was terrified and refused to ever go back there or towards that part of the sofa again.

-

Back when he was about ten years old, in his room he sat there talking to himself.  My mom worried asked him what he's doing. She got no answer, then he came walking downstairs around midnight.  She asked him what he was doing, he replied "Who is that pretty man sitting in my bed?"  She went up to look, no one.  His room and the upstairs of the house isn't big at all so she did a quick check to make sure no one was up there.  She comes down and tells him that no one was there.  So she asks again what he was doing. "Talking to the pretty man, he was nice".  My brother went upstairs happily and went to sleep.

Brother 2:

My middle brother went home to visit my mom back in 2010ish.  He ended up staying in my youngest brothers room, my youngest brother stayed in my younger sister's vacant room.  My brother prior to falling asleep suddenly noticed a man sitting on the night table next to the bed.  My brother couldn't understand a word of what this man was saying but my brother felt that whatever it was this man was saying was very important.  Eventually, my brother faded off to sleep.

Strange that both my brothers saw a man in the same room.

Sister:

While living at my mom, my sister had the front bedroom upstairs, there were two bedrooms facing back.  One my mothers, the other my little brothers.

Well, my sister had a small computer desk (back when that was a thing) in the corner of her room.  She wanted to sell it so she took some pictures of it.  It had an odd grippy texture so she took a closeup of the edge of the table to show off the texture.  Upon reviewing the picture she could see what appeared to be a translucent hand holding onto the edge, you could see what appeared to be veins and skeletal fingers.  She may still have this picture (digital camera), I'll find out and eventually post it here.

It was very odd.

-

Another night, my sister was going to bed, she would leave the curtains open as this was the second floor and she enjoyed the surrounding nature.  Her bed was on the opposite end with the headboard on the same wall as the window.  I'm unsure what time this happened, but she wasn't asleep yet.  She turned from facing the wall to the open side of the window, this is when she was struck with fear.

She saw a tall man standing looking out the window.  She says she could see the moon shine through this man.  But the scariest thing besides him being translucent was that his chin was "comically long".  She laid in fear completely motionless for what she says "felt like an eternity".  Eventually she slowly tried to turn around, pull the blanket over her head and managed to fall asleep.

Thanks for reading, I would value any input as to what explanations you may have to all of this.  My family hates that I'm a skeptic first as I always put them through the wringer. "What if it was a dream?", "What if my younger brother was just imagining it?" etc.

And these stories are mostly the "main" stories.  Are plenty of weird occurrences (mostly audible) that I've not yet shared.
And I'm gone.... Like a crack in the past....

Sounds just like my life. Just commenting on those two. Last time I was near a graveyard at night I saw allot of faces, probably not bad that you skipped the orb

If you figure out the source of the telekinesis let me know

The lore here goes that allot of this stuff is just for show for you. You get the high or "wow" experience and then you find lesser manifestations irl. as time goes on. Sometimes you work yourself back to a previous state

You also find what you look for, the devil is easy to find. Demons will come to you if you go looking for them

Basically folk tales at the end of the day. The stories that goes bad usually has bad intent involved and fear. When stories like The Amityville House conjure up murderous intent in the imagination I rate you are still okay and not likely to slip that way

Hiding under the covers and praying to Jesus is also an option, works just as well with grown ups as kids. Some matters are just best left to God

Watch the video, it helped me somewhat. You will most likely get to see all of it.

My mother called me today out of breath.  She's been hearing a "click clack" sound downstairs like someone is riding a skate board and doing flip kicks in the living room.  She ran downstairs when she thought she heard someone actually walking.

It's been going on for about a week and has scared her enough to keep her out of the living room.

I try to calm her down, "maybe it's the neighbors" or "maybe it's electrical".  "No!" she says, she's totally conviced it's a skateboarding specter using the living room as their ethereal skate park.  Lol

I jest, but it is freaking her out.  My youngest brother is going to visit in a day or two so I hope he can figure something out.  Has anyone heard of any similar noises? Any ideas to what it can be?  Her living room contains a TV (which is off), a cable box, a wifi router and that's it.  I thought at first it may have been a power supply failing making a "clicking noise".
And I'm gone.... Like a crack in the past....

With your history it's anyone's guess.. floor tiles, change of seasons maybe? Tiles can pop out and lift up from defects. Fans and pumps can be culprits. Freezers can get very loud.

I've seen orbs and always run to them but they are like rainbows, the closer you get the further away they get.

Very interesting!  Thumbup
And I'm gone.... Like a crack in the past....

Lately my mother has been "feeling" a presence, and claims it even touched her head. (Like a light stroke)

I believe that at least one spirit is a family member, an older one from before my time.  My mother in the 80's had seen a "shadowy" figure stand in the doorway like her great uncle did.  Kinda leaned up on it on his arm.  She'd also hear wheezing at times, much like he did when alive. (The story I mentioned above.)

We take no direct actions to try to investigate or give whatevers going on attention, yet it persists.  None of us has ever been harmed, thankfully.  So I don't think there's anything "bad" going on.  But it's disconcerting just the same.
