I feel your pain.
My little baby Is a 1990 Mazda MX 5 mk 1 (Miata).
Off road as requires new clutch and welding.
Will be doing a full restoration when I get some money, should be soon, awaiting my inheritance.
She's like a Lotus Elan, but without all the leaking oil on yer drive etc.
'l'll just check my Giveashitometer....Nope. Nothing...

Gotta Love 'em. My Babe is a '98 Civic VI Fastback. I gave her a good buffing the other day and treated her to some new woofers and tweeters.

That's a sweet ride. I suspect I couldn't easily fit into it, but goodonya.

Your ode could be a love song!
I have always enjoyed driving in the snow, especially in an abandoned parking lot, just donuts on top of donuts, always missing the light poles. I used to put six bags of rock salt in the back of my Chevy Luv, and would let five pounds of air out of the back tires when I was in snow. The rock salt came in handy many times, both for me and for stranded drivers. I had a HUGE Warn winch on the front of the truck, which was ridiculous and also wonderful. I could have lowered that truck down a precipice Monkey Wrench style if I had had the guts. More than once I hooked a chain to the rear end of the truck and the other end to a tree and used the Warn to pull somebody out.

WOW!! Are you Percy Bysshe Shelley reincarnated? That was amazing prose.

You had my mind racing in a different direction for a second, but got back on track and it all makes sense.
I, too, will wax lyrical about cars, but make mine scarlet with GTO on it's ass.

All our rides are perfect. ;o) Now, I have to copy your thumbs up to see how you do it

That's a hot little ride. I was once a Certified Industrial Hygienist, and another of my ilk traved with me in that same year Miata. I was driving my Darlin's '72 240Z. We both ran hot and fast through the switchbacks, and made getting to the jobsite SO much fun. He and me drove all over California, and one time when travel was weird, we drove from S.F. area to L.A. and back. I couldn't fit well into the driver's side of his ride, but the Z was built with ample legroom. I don't think either one was faster or could corner better. I know that when my Darlin' raced her Z in the SCCA, the Z cars and the Miata were allowed far less upgrades to their class.
