'Saving her' could be a waste of time?  Why can't I snuggle up to that almost undeniable possibility?

I think that just about any drug smoked (meth, crack, pcp, opium, pot) leaves a smell in the air for some time. See: What Do Different Drugs Smell Like? A Guide to Drugs by Smell . Most likely that they were looking at the pipe rather than having smoked from it recently. 

The biggest issue seems to be that you believe she lies to you --- alot.

So don't make commitments or promises to her. Liars will often insist on holding other people to their promises even if they never keep their own.

There was this new girl on the scene 10ish years ago. She was from Sydney and fled heere, said shed been to jail but changed the subject when asked why. I concluded they were a meth-addicted child sex xoffender., most people dont uncomfortably change the subject unless they are.

Turned out I was right. She was sent here by the NSW cops because it became known she was an informant. The WA cops then owned here and protect here. I have called the feds (AFP).

There is much more to this but the meth trade and child sex trafficking go hand in hand. Keep as much distance as possible, your friend might not be part of it, but her dealer would have some proximity to the shit.

Unfortunately, in my travels, I have never ever met a woman that did not trade her mouth or open her legs for drugs when she is running light on funds. Only thing women keep their dignity with is pot and pot alone. Once a woman moves on to powder, pills, meth whatever else ... she becomes a mobile motel over time, even when she appears completely and perfectly functional.

It is the steady supply that keeps her functional, and her body alone can keep her supplied when hours at work get slim. This was my experience and observations as an outside observer associated with the likes who I would never associate with ever again.

I really really really hate seeing women exploited. And any woman on drugs harder than marijuana will see a time they accept being exploited for that chemical balance they have ruined with their choices. 

Don't know what your level of commitment is on this lady. If she is just an employee and no sign of stolen funds or supplies than she should be functionally fine. However, if you were emotionally or intimately involved, either go all in and invest on trying to save her, or just cut your losses. If she is past 35 its about 85% chance you will not be able to save her. But 15% is still hope if the sincere desire to help is there.

All hope is not lost, its up to you whether you feel it is worth the effort. it is an uphill battle in a blizzard.

You can not save an addict, an addict can only save themselves. You can always leads them into the light though ^.^

Okay so I know a woman, I have known her for about 10 years. She shows up periodically, and hangs around for 3-5 months or something. The entire time I have figured she was on meth, but I could never get 100% proof, until today. 

She had invited me over for dinner, unfortunately her meth dealer showed up just before I got there. I knock on the door and it takes a few minutes to get answered. Even though she knew I would be there any time. She is cleaning cat litter box and the dealer opens the door. Someone I have never seen before. After opening the door they jet off to a table in another room and pick up a object, look at then set it back down, on a table.

No one ever says who this person is or anything, shortly after I get there they leave. So I go have a look at the object the dealer was interested in. It's a glass pipe, it doesn't smell like pot. In fact it has no smell, but I could clearly see it had been used quite a bit. Of course I have never seen this pipe. And I have a good idea why. Since I can not think of anything that you could smoke in a pipe that has no smell. Does anyone know of something, that I don't?

So I didn't want to flat out ask were the two of you just smoking meth. So what did was, I started coughing, and kept on coughing, until she says are you alright. I said yeah, I shouldn't have hit that pipe, I thought it was pot, which I didn't hit it. She didn't say a word, she didn't even ask what pipe or anything. 

Keep in mind this person is always telling me they don't use meth. They know I hate the shit and meth users in general. And of course they are always in need of help, so I gave her some construction work to do, to try and help her out. Of course I have always figured it was because of meth. I don't think she is a hard core user, because she still has her teeth, but she still acts like a meth user, full of excuses.

Figure out why you feel you need to handle it first. It's her business. For her to stop she needs to adopt a new life, you won't recognize her after. It's not your choice

Unknown paradox , run far away , quickly as these people are beyond help IMHO , they constantly lie cheat and steal. 

Many years ago I spent a whole year trying to get a very good friend clean from hard drugs , we had been friends since childhood and worked together for many years , I trusted this guy with my life we were that close , I was nieve back then to just how addictive all that crap is , It was only when he explained to  me that when he was needing a hit,  that he would swap the keys of my 30k car on the table for 3 bags of H that friendship meant nothing over the urge for drugs , that really blew me away .

Months ago I was sitting outside in my garden enjoying the summer and having a brew when I guy I had not seen in 25 years passed by with a stunning younger woman , Back when I had known and worked with this guy he had everything going for him , the looks the cars everything. 

I noticed on his face the years had not been kind to him and he looked really thin , I invited them in for a cup of coffee and as I left to go to the kitchen he asked would it be OK for this stunning 30 something blond bombshell to have a pipe ?  , Nieve old me thought he meant smoke some MJ and I replied sure .

When I returned with the coffee I spotted the glass pipe getting passed between them and just let them carry on observing what was going on and the speed at which they were burning through the money lol , how the mighty have fallen eh .

I was glad when they finally left after hours of smoking like chimneys and all I could think  off was how many watercolour pictures I could have bought with what they went through cash wise in that time ! .

Later on I text my sister to tell her about this interaction as she is friends with his ex wife and she send me a dossier of what this idiot had been up to over the years ,wow he has gone from women throwing themselves at him to being accused of many rapes !!!  And had a whole section on Facebook of people warning about him and his antics .

He received a VERY blunt text from me to never darken my door again or look me in the eyes or I would slaughter him like a animal !! He got that message loud and clear .

Avoid all these Mad Funkies like the plague as they ALL lie and will tell you they are clean ,  And I joke back about stopping smoking tobacco,  every night when I fall asleep for a few hours lol .

As soon as they open their eyes in the morning it is bag time !!! X 365 .

Find some new friends Bro and cut that cord as it will only end in heartache for you .

When I said her x offered me a pipe, that he was hitting, and blew a big cloud of smoke out of. I was standing not 4 feet from him. And I couldn't smell anything. What do think was in that glass pipe? It wasn't a vape. As I watched him use a hand torch to heat it.

Unfortunately you are correct. She is not trust worthy. I'm to scared to have sex with her, because of that very reason. She is really just a waste of my time and resources. She will never admit to using meth, and she isn't about to quit. I'm going to tell her to hit the road.

She may only use occasionally, but that's probably going to change and not for the better. Just like an alcoholic needs more and more to get the same effect, so do meth users. To be fair, that goes for any drug user.

I knew several people who, after high school, became meth heads.

One is serving life in prison for killing a guy over drugs.

The rest are dead. Every one of them before their 45th birthday. They had no family or friends left, because no one trusted them. They had lied and stolen from everyone they cared about. There was one guy who got clean and is still alive, but his family will have nothing to do with him because of all the things he did to get drugs and he can't get a regular job because everyone knows who he is and what he's done.

Sooner or later she's going to get caught and you Do Not want to be in the middle of all that.
