I am questioning the amount of money spent on yet another frivolous endeavour to waste taxpayer dollars by your government, keep up. Another frivolous waste of taxpayer money for name changes. "The Trump Administration's push to rename the Department of Defense (DOD) is a symbolic gesture that the Pentagon's head, Pete Hegseth, suggests "restores a clarity of purpose tied to winning wars," via Military.com. So far, the most notable effects of this change have taken the form of a few visible plaques, and the department's website and social media accounts being rebranded to display the name it hasn't had since 1947. The choice falls in nicely with the administration's efforts to revert to older practices, as the nation's military muscle was originally organized under the name "Department of War." Yet, in an administration focused on cutting costs and targeting waste, it's important to note that this simple name change could cost taxpayers up to an estimated $2 billion, according to NBC News. That might sound outrageous, but the financial tally to rechristen just nine Air Force and Army bases previously sporting Confederate officers' names came out to $62 million." The cost to rename the Department of Defense will shock you

It has to do with seeing how the government wastes taxpayer money and prioritizes nonsense in lieu of helping ordinary Americans live better and more affordable lives. News flash!
"Save $400m by switching fonts': Unfortunately it won't work for the US government - or for you Proposal by teenager caught the media's imagination, but unfortunately the calculations just don't add up""In addition, although Garamond (Mirchandani’s font of choice) is certainly a slimmer font than Times New Roman, it’s also just physically smaller, with typography expert Thomas Phinney pointing out that you’d have to use the font in a larger size to keep the legibility the same, negating the saving arising from the font’s smaller ‘x size’ (the height of lowercase letters)." "So unfortunately it seems that switching fonts isn't the quick-fix that Mirchandani (and the media) have promised, but this doesn't mean that savings can't be made. The Atlantic notes that the best way to cut down on government printing budgets (and a change that is already being made) is by simply dropping the ink altogether by distributing more documents online." It's not about money (we can always print more of that), it's about the pernicious threat of Queer Typography: What is queer typography? The design of that webpage alone should convince you of the dire nature of this threat. And, it is a proven fact that Times New Roman is significantly less homosexual than Calibri. At any font weight. Quote:"To restore decorum and professionalism to the Department’s written work products and abolish yet another wasteful DEIA program, the Department is returning to Times New Roman as its standard typeface," the cable said.
