Lots of speculation over the years about 'black budget' funding of clandestine subterranean government infrastructure, secret underground cities, DUMBs, immense tunnel systems, vacuum 'mag lev' trains etc. and do find the whole subject pretty fascinating.

Personally don't find the concept of 'parallel societies' (or 'breakaway civilizations') too outlandish either and there's some intriguing government documentation being discussed in the vid below on Deep Underground Military Bases (buried up to one mile down) that really makes one wonder.















If a person really wants to go down the (literal) rabbit hole then Richard Sauder has also conducted some extensive research and has uncovered some pretty revealing info in his books on the subject.

Apparently it's no secret that for decades now the technological drilling expertise exists (as do the immense tunnel boring machines) and the presentation and books linked below delve pretty deep into the whole topic.

Richard also describes some relevant reports from Stanford Research Institute (and China Lake NWS) reporting on the feasibility of manned 'undersea' bases as far back as the 1960's.

He also brings up one potential undersea candidate off the US coast near Catalina Island (see 37:30) which I found interesting as for decades the area has been a major UFO/USO hotspot.

Here's Richard in a very short clip discussing German patents for underground vacuum tube 'mag lev' trains as far back as the 1930's.

Please understand that state of the art civil, mining, petroleum and marine engineering also permit the construction of large bases far beneath the sea floor, even in mid-ocean. The groups doing this are beyond conventional oversight.

My best information is that mag-lev trains connect various subsurface facilities through deep tunnels.

As you may know, there are many tunnels and facilities and secret spaces beneath Washington, DC. It's a town with many subterranean secrets.

As to everything that is happening down there? Let your imagination run, because that is a multi-trillion dollar, Black Budget funded realm with no public, open oversight of any sort.

All of the top level people in the Energy and Defense Depts. have been in on these high-tech, underground and undersea projects for decades. [b]The big engineering firms like Bechtel, Lockheed, Boeing, Kiewit, Brown & Root, Parsons- Brinckerhoff, Robbins, Siemens (German), formerly Aerospatiale (French), and others are in on it up to their eyeballs.

Also thought some good points were being made in the books about the black budget (and missing trillions) and when it comes to funding I'd speculate we're not even aware of a fraction of what goes on underground regarding DUMBs and historical undisclosed expenditure.

Probably lots more now but it was estimated that even back in 2009 the black budget for the US DOD was around $50 billion and if Bill Sweetman's articles in 'Jane’s International Defence Review' are to be believed then the security fraction of the total budget for these 'deep black' SAPs can approach 50%.

One thing about underground large installations is that they have to move all the earth that was removed to somewhere else, so that could leave some kind of evidence for the construction of underground bases/whatever.

Also, I don't know if the US military has the equipment, expertise and knowledgeable manpower to do something like that, which would mean contracting some company(ies) to do that work, which would also leave a trail.

PS: regarding a possible Catalina island underground/sea installation, isn't that a relatively active seismic area? Not the best place to build underground facilities.

I was in Missouri in the 90’s while they were building a huge underground complex. There would be little earthquakes every so often as they were doing it and word leaked about what was happening amongst us locals.

Of course then people said oh it’s a conspiracy theory.

I got Dr Sauder's book 'Hidden In Plain Sight' for Christmas years ago and I highly recommend it . For a second I couldn't find it, but I put it in my UFOlogical section lol.  I guess that's okay. 
It has great diagrams and maps in it. Published uh. 2010.
Because of a recent Why Files I checked the index for Alaska and there is only 1 mention, regarding Timothy Good's book on alleged undersea and underground bases. So nothing on the Alaskan Triangle mystery base with the 'Dark Pyramid' .

The US military has had nuclear powered tunneling machines since the 70's. They basically vaporize the rock / gravel into glass walls as it burrows. 



I'm quite positive they have tunnels all around the US and the world. Most likely to connect these underground bases. Best place to hide, right under our noses.
