Shoshanna, from the comments I read and the research I did basically tells me safe cities are pretty much sanctuary cities. They use different wording to trick people into thinking the town will save money by not having to pay police anymore OT.

When the reality is the local Police will not be assisting ICE in any way. So when your car gets hit by an illegal with most likely no insurance, the illegal that hit you is free to go, and you are left paying for everything, including a hidden surcharge (everybody’s insurance going up yearly - this was told to me by a cust Serv rep at my ins comp).

The indivisible group actually used the wording ICE should just do their job that they are paid for, but you can bet if they were victimized in any way they’d want authorities to work together for justice.

The other point they tried to make was if you wear a Chicago bulls hat, you can go to Venezuelan jail without due process. These people are really delusional. The facts are out there; they will not find them watching mainstream media or the pew.

There is also a new video about who is getting rich of of the illegal immigrant influx, I urge everyone to search out Nate Friedman. It is eye opening. If after seeing his video you still don’t think is being orchestrated for a select few to line their pockets while bankrupting the very citizens who worked all their lives, then I don’t know what to tell people. I urge everyone to seek it out!

I am worried about our children, and tge immigrant children who are being used and abused by this money making scam! It really is criminal!

Just to clarify my stance.

I have also met a few hard working Mexican women who I think are great assets to the community. It breaks my heart to think of losing them when they are clearly hardworking good people from what I can tell. One girl looks like she’s been through it.


We just need law & order
Vetting
Immunizations if possible
Faster immigration process
Not so expensive processing fees so they don’t have to be trafficked by cartels
…… and a tougher stance on committing crimes once here, violence-drugs.

I do have sympathy for the innocents, stupid Biden opened the floodgates with no vetting, while sending all our money to Ukraine!

Prefer women and children first!

It does go out on a limb a bit to tie its rather tenuous analogy together, with plenty of soft spots that could be push against, were one to be adversarial in a debatey way. But, I think you know that, since some of the phrasing seems to anticipate it. Just didn't want your effort to go unaddressed.

So does my rather limited empathy for Palestine invalidate all the other touchy-feely love the immigrants claims? 

Because I even support the refugee ones that come here. They can even bring their Israel programming with them, and I even support their freedom to protest the evil apartheid state with Columbia students.

But they should know they sought their asylum in The Great Satan if they want to bring the jihadist shit with them.  And I support our government's methods that follow their every text or email and use it against them if it starts going to Tehren.

Yes it's full of conundrum, but it's Islsm in general that draws most my ire.  Particularly Hamas Islam. Hezbollah and Martyr Brigade Islam. The still vengeful about 1967 Islam. Not so much Amman or Cairo Islam anymore.

In reference to Abrahamic religion, that Islam took the concept of God's love (with you on the bench), possessed it at 6, raped it at 9, and then forced it to wear a beekeeper hood from then on.

It's a cultural norm that is incapable of assimilation with other religions in its truest form, and that leads my lack of concern for their plight as displaced Gazans. They can just have Ali The AK47 do a sing-along about exterminating Israel and the kids will be happy.

But I do support for them if they want to illegally flee here and completely renounce that Islamic culture to try to get to stay.

Our town meeting was tonight for the safetown proposal. It was gloriously voted down, I think only 12 people voted for it.

It basically was trying to make our town not cooperate with ICE. It got heated. Our town also voted down more money for the schools here who underperform yet want more money and teachers every year.

I am so proud of my towns citizens for getting involved and taking a stand.

So if any other town out there has a safe town proposed, just know that it is in fact a sanctuary town they are trying to pass with a lot of virtue signaling language.

I am glad people are taking things into their own hands at a local level. 
Federal mandates and decrees , and the louder (more brainwashed?)  chickens in the roost should never dictate how a town functions unless the town wants it that way.

Me too! The delusional woman who tried to have this article enacted got an overwhelming dose of reality last night! I am so proud of my towns citizens!

I personally want to thank President Trump for opening a lot of peoples eyes and reinvigorating a sense of fighting back and standing for what’s right!

There seems to be this disconnect with people assuming because you want law and order that you have something against immigration or culture.  For the last centuries, we have had plenty of good food and culture from legal immigrants.  If these were all white people from Scandinavia, France, Germany, etc. just walking in by the tenss of thousands and refusing to honor the terms of visas, and due process, people would probably feel differently.

There is this weird argument that I call the Taylor Swift argument.  It is basically a person who gets caught having snuck into the concert saying, "But I've already been here for half the concert and have made some really good friends here.  How dare you kick me out or suggest I pay for a ticket.  I should just be able to wander around for now and enjoy the show"

In any case, there does need to be some reform, but people need to respect the process and the law as it stands. Most countries have much stricter immigration and often require certain age limits, financials, and professional degrees. We have a pretty lax process that can be legally maneuvered even if it takes a bit of time.  Being poor and from a crappy country was never a cause for asylum before certain presidents open up the floodgates. We have plenty of really poor unhappy people here, but I am pretty sure if they applied for asylum in England they would be told to pound sand.

i actually know an Irish man who was deported over 28 years ago for having overstayed a visa.  He returned to Ireland, did things the right way and eventually returned.  

I need a real ID to fly in this country, but any unknown can just come here and do as they please without any proper ID doesn’t make any sense.

Bingo!  Exactly what happened to us - our parked vehicle was slammed by an ILLEGAL, no insurance, no paperwork to be in our country, no license, nothing.  The cops let him WALK AWAY.  Leaving us stuck with horrendous repairs.
I detest NJ, we are loaded with 'sanctuary cities', and this is a 'Sanctuary State'.  We are swamped with illegals, almost all the Americans in our little town have sold out and left, no one speaks English, and I feel like the only American wherever I go.  
Furniture trucks constantly deliver brand new furniture to these people moving into our area, free of charge.  Our local hospital is loaded with those getting free services, while we are forced to PAY.
My husband has been in and out of the hospital and physical therapy facilities for the last few years, and the paperwork we have to complete is concerned with only those who have run over the border.
I make my own box, write 'Polish' next to it, and check that off.  What they think of that does not concern me in the least.  At one point my husband had to wait 6 hours for transport, while illegals get served first.
The entire northeast has become a liberal nightmare.
