I haven't celebrated a " Hallmark Holiday " in decades. 
I did however bake some red velvet cupcakes...
Because... Cupcakes...

I gave a dozen creme-filled red velvet cake doughnuts one year... they were delectable

Holidays are losing their meaning for me and seem to be more commercialized now days.

My wife stocks up with candy at those sales every year.  Also she shops for after holiday clearance sales at lots of stores, we have great grandkids that catch the bus and come here after school, and we pack their snacks in their bookbags too.  Easter is one of the best holidays to get discounted candies a few days after, Christmas is pretty decent too, then there is Halloween then valantines day after that in order of the best deals usually.  Valentines day clearances usually have boxes of chocolates though...which have variety but with the kids, once something is open they want to keep eating it.

The wife also has a problem with controling herself with open boxes of chocolates, so it is not just the kids.
