Rewatching Breaking Bad it still holds up

So Im a huge Breaking Bad fan but only caught the last couple of seasons when it first aired. My main watch-through was 8 years or so ago, it was a perfect distraction, so decided to rewatch it. Almost watched season one completely through 

It is done so well, 3rd time I'm still watching late into the night, usually, nothing holds my attention like this still does. 

It's every aspect the writing the acting and actors the cinematography, the music. It weaves an in-depth interesting story, I am not sure it could or would be duplicated today.

Better Call Saul was excellent too BB is on a different level, whereas before Cranston stood out and still does Im getting a different view of Aaron Paul and the rest of the cast. Watching him me Tuco after he got the crap kicked out of him, his unease was there without a word.

I tried the Sopranos and other shows and movies again just didn't bring it for me on the second run-through.

So what other shows and/or movies have I missed or should revisit ... Iknow one I missed is the Wire

Pokémon: Indigo League.

The main protagonist earns badges through the power of friendship and then is berated by the other charterers for many episodes because he didn't earn it.  Trying to prove his worth he then basically gets his ass kicked by losers over and over.

It's from a time when writers where self-aware.

The villains are also a hoot

So what other shows and/or movies have I missed or should revisit ...

Wholeheartedly agree about Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul mate (Tuco is a nutter lol).

Have posted it before but I was truly impressed by 'Mr Inbetween'.

It's an Aussie series and thought the dialogue writing, storyline and acting was awesome.










Was also a big fan of HBO's 'Rome' back in the day.

Just saved it, Ill give it a shot no doubt it is good usually enjoy Aussie recommendations. Most times the shows and movies act like the viewer has a brain

You did mention Better Call Saul.
We watched that twice too and I think it may be even better, to me.....

I still needa collect that one.

Walt became so egotistical , and addicted to te power and the rush.  It stopped being about the money and the family long long ago....

This is going way out there in the past and it's a comedy but we are watching The Bob Newhart Show (1970s) and it's really entertaining.  Obviously not a 'focus' kind of show. More have it on while you are eating dinner on the weekend kind of thing.

Damn, our family watched the  Carol Burnett Show, Bob Newhart, and Mary Tyler Moore all the time.

They were all classics but yeah Ive never watched whole shows again just clips about the only '60s '70s shows Ive watched again in full were the Twilight Zone Night Gallery, and Night Stalker type stuff though I did watch a season or 2 of Soap which holds up well.

70s had some great shows MASH Barney Miller etc

No, but it's on my list,  I dig Steve Buscemi and I also need to check out Peaky Blinders to.

Think you'll enjoy it mate - it gets really good.

Also thought the Fargo series with Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman was a winner.
