By the same token, people on the right didn't start championing Elon until he switched political sides and put on the MAGA hat

I don't think the real issue is about choosing to love or hate him

It's about understanding the tech billionaire cultural mindset

Most of them see current governing systems (including Democracy --the failed experiment) as archaic and broken

They want to collapse current government and supplant it with technocracy 

The AI god(s) will provide solutions for every problem

You can say the same thing about movies.  And even books where editors help the author.  And the printing companies.

But the Harry Potter phenomenon is what it is because of Rowling.

There is a reason why Spacex is what it is.

JK Rowling wrote the books, silly, created the stories and characters, Musk not so much.

And i will guarantee he has exactly sweet feck all to do with designing or launching said rockets.

And why, because he's not a rocket scientist. 

He holds degrees in physics and economics.

And he's a businessman and CEO.

Liberal governments spending other peoples money through the theft of taxation to the point all people are broke, destitute, or flee a government heavily broke to the point it starts printing money to hyperinflation hasn’t ever worked on the long term.

Maybe robot slaves will be the ticket.

I'm more of a centrist if anything. 

As to a universal income for all, that's a pipe dream.

All it would serve to achieve is to create an underclass of those who have very little.

And an overclass of those who have everything. 

It would not bridge the class divide, all it does is widen the gap. 

Nothing is free in this world, not even freedom, and there is always a cost to be had.

If you expect something for nothing....well, don't expect to get much of anything really.  

Also, if they have robot slaves, and im under the impression Musk wants to see one in every home, why would they need people?

I would,, I have a neurological condition that Ive see some potentially useful, and Id happy be th gunnie pig if it would be done thru my neurology clinic and covered by Medicare.

I hate Musk but Ive been followinng neur implants for a couple of years and thy're not the only oones in the game, but it wont be availble any time soon.

The potential is rather clear.

However, i don't think they should be moving along to human trials before perfecting the technology.

It's a game-changer for sure if they can make it do what it says on the tin, but like you suggest, it's still in the post.

Given time, however, the sky is the limit.

The thing is just like any other tool, the purpose to which it's set will donate benevolence or malevolence, and if it can be used to control or influence the subject....

- As for the Jews being an authority on Nazi salutes ... the ADL sniffs out antisemitism and Naziism.  It's what they do.  If there was even the remotest chance that Musk did a real Nazi salute, they'd be all over it like flies on crap.   Instead, they gave him the all clear.

I don't love the guy.  But I don't hate him either.
He's a brilliant innovator and business man.
But he tried to screw the country over with big fake DOGE promises and 
cozying up to Trump to try to get special treatment for his companies.

He's obviously no nazi, and not stupid enough to do a nazi salute in front of cameras.
But if you choose to think he is ... go right ahead.   You live in a free country.

And yet that's exactly what he did, because he was playing to an audience, aka white supremacists, and Christian nationalists.

Again, the Nazis did not salute the Jews, hence they are hardly an authority on Nazi salutes, just a fact. 

As to living in a free country, there are 84 of those around the globe.

Musk is a CEO who wishes to see a technocracy become the colour of your day.

Democracy, not so much.

And if im honest, i think you will be rather hard pressed to find many 1%ers not on the same to similar page.

Musk would rip up your constitution in a heartbeat and replace it with his own version of control if he thought he could get away with doing so.

And the sad fact is, he's hardly the only one.
