Once the illusion of existence was rendered, it was no longer an illusion,
and the real and the unreal became indistinguishable.

“I think there is a resurgence of anti-Semitism because at this point in time Europe has not yet learned how to be multicultural. And I think we are going to be part of the throes of that transformation, which must take place. Europe is not going to be the monolithic societies they once were in the last century. Jews are going to be at the centre of that. It’s a huge transformation for Europe to make. They are now going into a multicultural mode and Jews will be resented because of our leading role. But without that leading role and without that transformation, Europe will not survive.”
Barbara Lerner Spectre, a founding director of Paideia, The European Institute for Jewish Studies in Sweden.

"We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force." ~ Ayn Rand

Sorry mate yes I was a bit drunk when I posted that.
My point being when it comes to a specific subject then what's the difference between video and book content - surely they are both curated? Don't get me wrong I love reading about specific topics (as well as certain video presentations) but I can't personally see the difference when it comes to your criticism of 'video'. Am rather involved in USO research again and would really recommend this book - there's not much published literature on the subject so to gain further knowledge video presentations are proving pretty valuable (consolidated research and all that). Anyway it shouldn't matter much as long as folks are actually engaged in active research lol. This thread is about quotes so here's a good one (admittedly it's from a dirty Paperclip Nazi but a good one nonetheless). Quote:• "Research is what I'm doing when I don't know what I'm doing."

My main problem with videos is the timing, as they usually take a long time to give the same information that could be read in less time. Video (and audio) force us to go along their own time, while reading is something we can do according to our time, and it's easy to reread a sentence or a paragraph, while doing that with video takes longer.
