Or would that make a difference ?

That's an interesting idea.   Probably most difficult for families with small children.   Us elderly might fare okay, unless they are city dwellers.   Most towns and cities (at least in the U.S.) are 3-5 days from running out of supplies in the stores.   I don't think it could ever happen;  think of the consequences of the majority of the population have mortgages, car/truck payments, business payments and dues.    I don't think the working public has to 'grow balls'.   I think it takes enormous stones to go to work day in and day out and come home exhausted for the priviledge of feeding your families.  Those are the real heroes.   The MIC, on the other hand, wouldn't crumble so easily, imo.   I think they are dug in for the long haul, fully prepared for the big birds to fly and the horrific aftermath.   No, I don't think that would hurt them nearly as much as us, the common middle-class workers.

Someone would have to do the math - but at any rate it is a pie in the sky idea. . .
Everyone should have a months worth of food and water and savings to pay one month of rent/mortgage.
Its really not that hard.
I did it working minimum wage.

What's your point?
Any Partisan Joe can throw random photos around on a forum, doesn't mean the leaders or trend of these countries make it so.
Are you telling me the Ukrainian Military is aiming for a new Nazi regime?
Idiocy goes both ways, friend.

Completely agree.   I have always kept much more than that.   When I was by myself, such a thing would have been easy.  Being responsible for others ramps it up a bit.   45 years ago when I was at college, I often went off for a week or two at breaks and mostly lived off the land.

It's been Putin's justification for invasion from the start because there's nothing a Russian hates more than a Nazi. Not only does Putin know how to manipulate his own people, he knows how to manipulate us too. We all hate each other now. It's not exactly rocket science. Lee Atwater figured out the same thing after Watergate with the southern strategy. The Republicans have been off the rails ever since. It's funny. I used to call myself a republican, but now I feel stateless. Long ago are the days of men like John McCain. Republicans used to give a shit. The democrats are worthless too. I'm afraid we're all fucked.

I agree both parties are the same corrupt uni party, just with different flavours of pretending.
I don't think we are fukt though, as far as Humanity is concerned.  As far as the USA is concerned it seems the Congress is pretty well bought and paid for though.
We should have a reverse secession where we can boot out counties that are operating treasonously but then they would be what, reservations?
At any rate Ukraine should begin peace negotiations with Russia soon, per Trumpy dumps phone call yesterday.
We will see if the EU gravy train types will get on board.
