Prolonged UFO sighting outside Langley AFB over Chesapeake Bay today

Any time I read an article about "unknowns" over sensitive areas, my first thought is "Show and Tell".   Staged for someone's benefit.    No reason.  Just a gut feeling

I'm assuming it's controlled airspace which prevents any news helicopters from getting too close?

What is interesting is that the explanations are almost perfectly balanced in their ambiguity and implausibility: secret craft, domestic or foreign nation, espionage attempt or amateur aerospace, alien incursion or dimensional projection -- you can pick whatever you want, depending on what you want to be fearful of and what you want to project those fears on to. And even if you want to consider that to be a constructed situation, you get to pick who you think perhaps constructed it -- DIA, God, an Alien Supermind, or the Collective Unconscientious.

It's just fun all around. Or, annoying fantasy, if that's your bag.
