My first thought was, "What, does he need to go over the new way everyone marches or something?"
I really HOPE it's just their new warrior ethos being unveiled, and it is only being made more ominous in my head...
But yeah, worst case scenarios abound for ways we can be more like other authoritarian militaries. You know lots of parades of displayed might, and super-disciplined, scary looking soldiers, like when Scar took over Pride Rock.
I personally started this BRAND NEW decentralized group for myself when posting online, so it totally lacks any affiliation while carrying the same message the peaceful anti-fascist sentiment does.
Plus its in the damn title and logo.
Adaptation is key now.
Time to reboot the hippie for counterculture resistance.
While Cassandra isn't anywhere near as good as Grace, it's more modern, even with the double tracking...

And that was after however many tries with Deep AI too.
It was the only one that spelled the top and bottom words right. Though I wrote peace sign, it REALLY REALLY wants to add a fist to anything that prompts it with, "Anti-Authoritarian"
That was the best it could do in the minimal time I wanted to spend on it.

This is crazy. People been spoiled by AI.
It's so bad that I had to search graphics programs to recall the name Photoshop.
Photoshop can do it better.
There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people. - Commander William Adama

Hey, clarity....
https://www.cnn.com/2025/09/26/politics/...rior-ethos
Quote: Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s surprise gathering of hundreds of generals and admirals in Virginia next week is being called so he can describe the administration’s reinvention of the Department of Defense as the “Department of War” and outline new standards for military personnel, according to half a dozen people familiar with the planning.
“It’s meant to be a show of force of what the new military now looks like under the president,” a White House official told CNN.
The meeting is expected to resemble “a pep rally” where Hegseth will underscore the importance of the “warrior ethos” and outline a new vision for the US military, said three of the sources. He is expected to discuss new readiness, fitness and grooming standards the officers are expected to adhere to and enforce.
“It’s about getting the horses into the stable and whipping them into shape,” said a defense official familiar with the planning. “And the guys with the stars on their shoulders make for a better audience from an optics standpoint. This is a showcase for Hegseth to tell them: get on board, or potentially have your career shortened.”
Okay.... it's a completely normal way to officially end the "putrid taint of progressivism" (or god forbid anything woke) in military culture. To publicly redefine it to the correct "this man's" vision of The Commander in Chief, which is not at all modelled after The Cold War, the time being gay was still a section 8, or any historical authoritarian states.
As long as "the guys with stars on their shoulders make for better optics."
I wish I could go back to the fence, but it's electrified now.

The war front of AI... Has freaked out a lot of tech CEO's at times. It was good to see Trump and Melina stilling next to Zuckerburg and Gates. Great to see him trying to keep this crazy world together somehow?
What is a General to do when the computer says no? As for where AI is going is much more sophisticated, looking for subtle changes here and there. When looking at the history of the Transistor, has Roswell all over it. Like an Oak seed, very small to start. As for what it has grown into with no signs of stopping, a digital gulag or pathway to the stars?

Quote:The hundreds of U.S. generals and admirals who have been ordered to attend an unusual meeting next week at a military base in Virginia are expected to hear a “rally the troops” message based on the war-fighter culture that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has sought to infuse into the Pentagon
Surely those hundreds of U.S. generals and admirals, have better things to do than leave their posts and duties for a pep talk.
If it's a “rally the troops” etc. message, why not just send a email or Powerpoint? Or if Hegseth feels it's important enough to need delivering in person, why not go them with smaller meetings?
IMO having this much brass at one place and time is... unwise, both from logistics and security standpoints. All the world knows about this meeting, and as such it better be the most secured place on the planet. For better or worse the message needs to be worth bringing everyone in.

I think the paradigm-shifting truly began when the tech allowed us to free ourselves "virtually" into computational theory... but that is probably up for debate. New vistas.
It means we can prove anything with computer models... they may be wrong, but they will satisfy the definition of the word proof... virtually...
Not that ANYTHING digital can be proof of any real substance, but the market and government will demand we accept it as de-facto proof, won't they?...
and it will be considered an illness to object, won't it?

And to add to the fun, it is being reported that Trump, too, will attend the mass meeting of top military brass called next week by secretary Hegseth.
IDK, but this seems like the original intent of this meeting might have just taken a tangent?
Especially in light of Trump's recent statements (threats?) to send troops to "war torn" Portland, OR.
If we were at a simmer, this frog is beginning to feel the approach of a rolling boil.
