I am not privy to such knowledge as your "cigarette" smoking self undisclosed software developer is.
Fire up the old beast and please do tell how you think that could or would happen?
I ask this in a way to not disrespect but am very curious on your take.

Who me? I really did find that photo randomly on the Internet, haha!

But there is a whole Wikipedia article on leaving NATO:

Quote:The United States has maintained longstanding support to NATO. Most recently, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024, enacted on 22 December 2023, prohibits the President from unilaterally withdrawing from NATO without approval of a two-third Senate super-majority or an act of Congress. The bill provision came amidst then-presidential candidate Donald Trump's mixed messages on NATO. However, it is unclear whether the law can legally stop the President from unilaterally withdrawing, because of constitutional authority that the President has regarding foreign policy.

As I said, it ain't gonna happen. NATO is, um, let's say, 'important', in many ways. For example, consider only the logistics of industrial retooling to a war footing in a multi-nation conventional war. That's a fundamental path-of-possibility factor in global military strategy that NATO makes determinable, changing it willy-nilly would be dire.

I'll go ahead and call bullshit on your cig smoking ass!
Thank you for the link btw. I am currently reading that. And there is a bunch to follow upon with the links.

Since we're all into wild speculation, I'll throw in my 2¢ just for the fun of it although I'm really hoping it is the upcoming alien invasion scenario.

1) Trump wants everyone to sign some kind of loyalty to his royal kingness promising to follow his every whim
or
2)The the declining Don is planning to declare martial law and wants to make sure everyone is on board

I'm still hoping 3I/Atlas makes a sharp turn our direction and slows down. That's about the only thing that could save us. Spin

Any speculation or inside information? Maybe Venezuela or Argentina? Or are we finally going to get tribunals? Pay cut or layoffs? Russia or Greenland? Illegals or Antifa? Nothing ever happens?

It is said of Trump that the last person that whispers in his ear will be his next move. Was that boots on the ground in Ukraine or finishing off the Palestinian people in Gaza?

Call me a conspiracy theorist but don't call me Shirley, but since the redistricting isn't working and Trump wants to ensure another term in office, I think he is planning war, any long time war, to keep himself in office. So, the only long term war I can think of right now will be between Ukraine and Russia.

Since Trump speaks of NATO in the third person (he never says 'us' when he refers to NATO) it's almost impossible to know what's going on in that muddled brain of his. Let's hope the people around him have their heads screwed on the right way.

Are these the same sort of perfectly-normal-yet-unexplainable "hybrid" drone storms that were seen over New Jersey last year?

But don't you see? It's 2D-chess! Trump speaks of everyone, including himself in the third person. And, nothing that he could be blamed for is ever his own initiative. It's the perfect negotiating position. Genus!

Genus? or Gebus?

It can only be two things, war or sale of war weapons, well that's really one thing, now isn't it?
