"President Donald Trump threatened to fire top military officers who disagree with him. - Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told an audience of generals and admirals that the military had decayed. He announced new fitness and grooming standards.
- Trump made a reference to a racial slur while discussing nuclear weapons during his address. “I call it the N-word," he said. "There are two N-words and you can’t use either of them.”"

That is actually pretty funny. Is that offensive? Racism and nuclear war are offensive. Joking about intolerant sensitivities is not. Am I wrong?

Probably feel no different under Trump than Biden.
Both had four college deferments.
Then both had medical after that.
Trump for bone spurs that magically disappeared,
and Biden for asthma that has never been seen or heard.
The long timers in the military just do their jobs and
earn their retirement no matter what temporary Commander in Chief
shows up.

Both come from the same place.

Trump has the same classification as Biden got for his medical deferment. Is Biden also a draft dodger, for a medical condition he had as a child? A condition he no longer had as a 24 year old.
Fair enough. But I am talking about your current Prez, who seems to be threatening to fire these military types etc.
'l'll just check my Giveashitometer....Nope. Nothing...

The Commander in Chief can 'fire' any military under him who do not follow the commands and the agenda of the Commander in Chief. Biden could do it. Obama could do it. Bush43 could do it. Trump can do it. That's the nature of the military. You can't have people in uniform not going with the plan ... and the plan starts and the top and goes down.

Threatening to fire them, and giving them the chance to resign on their own, for not getting rid of "woke" ideologies and trying to make the military better. I happen to agree with that.
I happen to agree that our warfighters need to be held to a higher physical fitness, physical appearance, and professional standards. If getting rid of DEI, tightening physical fitness regulations, and physical appearance regulations is an issue for anyone in a commanding role in the military, as said by Trump, they should feel the need to resign and make room for those that want to see the military in a better place.

Thats the problem, DEI has no place in the military.
It breeds softness and inefficiency.
The people that have a problem with this are soft themselves.

Darn I thought he was going to say we need to pay off the national debt by disbanding the standing army and return to citizen's militias. Reduce foreign entanglements, fund the government through tariffs, and eliminate the corrupting influence of the military industrial complex and the monies of global extractionist capitalism that it supports.
Oh well, maybe next year.

Exactly, and those that are putting this all on Trump, as if Hegseth would not have fired them as well, crack me up. Just another "excuse" for them to hate on Trump.
Bet he loves all that rent free living he gets.
