FAIL.   Thumbdown

If we look at her complete post and understand all of it's context, then I can see why she was so upset over severed body parts hanging from the porch roof. People taking just the triggered swearing part of her post and not the whole context is an unfair assessment IMO.

"In her post, Alkhdour challenged the societal norms surrounding the holiday, questioning, “Is this okay? Is this how holidays are supposed to look?” She expressed disbelief and dismay at the spectacle, pondering the celebration’s supposed civility and festivity.
Her comments have sparked a discussion about cultural sensitivity and the varying interpretations of holiday traditions, highlighting the broader conversation about inclusivity and respect for diverse perspectives in multicultural societies.

‘This is just across the street from my sister’s [house]. Is this f***ing ok? What’s the fun about it? What is civilized about it? What is holiday about it?

‘F*** you all. F*** you, white people. F*** you, westerners… I don’t know what to say, like, f*** everyone.’
Her post, which was met with heavy criticism online, highlighted how her family spent eight months witnessing ‘genocide’ and, after managing to flee Gaza, spent an entire year in Egypt as they sought asylum in Canada."

I've also been reading where people had to move because after asking their neighbors to not put up gory decor because it triggered them over some past trauma the neighbors basically said 'too bad for you'.

If she explained her situation to me, I would take the decor down. I recall one Halloween where I put spider webbing and a huge tarantula beside my front door, after seeing a child so frightened that she cried, I then took it down immediately and now only decorate so children will enjoy the decor because it's for the kids after all.

That's what you see, what I see is someone from a war torn country where people were blown up in their beds while sleeping and now in a new country seeing people decorate with severed body parts. She isn't the only one who is questioning this, there are many 'white people' with similar trauma, say from car accidents, who don't want to see this gory decor either.

Here's a story where the decor was so gory one person said this ...

"Taking it one step further, another said: "That would be a “hell no” for me if I was a neighbour. I'd be cutting that s*** down in the middle of the night.""

"In agreement, another user claims Halloween is meant to be an evening of harmless fun - not an opportunity to terrify young children. They said: "I don’t care if you’re an adult and you obviously don’t give a s*** about it. That’s not the point. S*** people do stuff like this.
"Save it for a haunted forest where everyone there has signed up for this so we can spare four-year-old Jimmy in his Thomas the Tank Engine outfit.""

This is where I stand on this gory decor too.

I see the same thing you are seeing. I took my wela saturday to go see her sister and all I could hear was her rah rah about halloween decor and her dead brother that allegedly fell into a wood chipper when she was a child. It makes her angry on the outside but deeper inside it is sadness and the anger is a reaction to it. It is not a good thing to punish others for your personal reality. They need to heal themselves. They are not the only ones in this world and nothing is meant to torment them, they torment themselves. They have growing to do. Its not easy but it must be done. Its the right thing.

She's been there a few months.
Halloween is coming.
On social media, she made her opinion clear about Halloween decorations and Westerners in general.

These people can not blend in and are not tolerant.
They are ungrateful and entitled.
("Palestinians" live off others generosity, Gaza produces nothing but terrorism).
They shouldn't be relocated out of the Middle East.

What she said ...

My guess is Palestinians won’t be able to move the needle much on that objective.

I’m far more concerned about the ant-semitism acts going against free speech, and a very direct consolidation of media companies to change the narrative for a foreign government.

Palestinians don’t have ideologies that fit in the western world, so I’m not going to die on the hill to say they need to come over here. But I’ve seen far more political capital from Israel to influence western governments.

That isn’t to single out Israel, the tru to of the matter is we should all have sovereignty from other nations. Whether it be Israel, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, ect. None of their interests are my interests, full stop.

For some people healing themselves it is easier said than done whereas for others they need professional help, which costs time and money and maybe they don't have either.

Absolutely the anger is associated with it and anyone saying otherwise is just ignoring how people who need help to deal with their helplessness of their trauma, especially foreigners who didn't get the memo on  the Western ways of doing things. But this trend to outdoor gory displays also upsets small children and I for one think more people should think about who Halloween shell out was created for in the first place.

Asked AI:

"Yes, people with PTSD can experience anger.
Many people with PTSD can't be helped even with professional and medicinal therapy.

"Up to 40% of people with PTSD recover within one year (1). There are many effective treatments for PTSD, yet only 1 in 4 people with PTSD in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) report seeking any form of treatment (2)."

So is the Canadian government.

"Do Palestinian refugees in Canada have PTSD?
Yes, Palestinian refugees in Canada are likely to experience PTSD due to their experiences of trauma and displacement. The Canadian government recognizes the unique challenges faced by refugees, including PTSD, and has developed frameworks and support systems to address these issues"

----

I hope the woman gets the help she needs, but considering only 1 in 4 people actually seek help, it may not happen.

Bullshit.

The story said she has been in North America for almost 10 years.

Keep supporting illegals that hate America and even Canada now.
