We have had AI image generation since Harold Cohen created the program "Aaron" in 1974. Over that time we have seen leaps and bounds in generation and quality. When we prompt an image, and the AI spits it out, it's the interpretation of the program that creates the end image. As we have seen, there are endless examples of the algorithms taking liberty with descriptors.

In this thread, I'd like to share with you what the AI was spitting out for me when it went mainstream a few years ago. I asked it to create its version of what monsters, hell, demons, heaven, angels, psychotic clowns and other nefarious sub creatures looked like. I was interested in getting to know the AI's "mentality" around dark prompts.

Now, it's known that initially (probably still a thing) the AI was sourcing REAL work from REAL artists and using their work as a base to affirm requested prompt parameters.

So I will agree, that it's not likely that the AI was exclusively creating its own work, but it's quite shocking what it spits out and could it speak to an underlying, dark facet of the AI itself perhaps.

Anyway, I'll start with two images and add more as this goes along. Please feel free to post any AI images you prompted that we're just insane.

Yeah, you see that's another thing I mentioned in a thread here a while ago. I hate this AI stuff because its blurring reality and replacing our tangible world with plastic wrap and paper mache. You see it everywhere now. People are taking perfectly fine images and thumbnails and converting them into an AI style.

AI is distorting what people really look like when you use it to enhance an image and people are so self-centered on what they want to do with it, they publish it anyway.

Probably should just move this to the "Anti AI Thread", but I thought more people would share an image or two they saved because it was just bonkers. I appreciate you stopping by.

I can’t seem to figure out yet how to embed an image into the thread here, just links to pictures I published using blogspot.

I tried starting a conversation recently, withChatGPT about my analysis of the following image.

i was surprised by its interpretation, it gave me a chill.

AI can get a synopsis from a Google search much faster than I can.

But I’m not sure it’s too good at making connections, so it seems there is still labor to point out connections to AI, as it reduces labor from research.

Yeah, that's not creepy. Why the children?? Speaking of which, they're potentially exposed to these results as well.

Well I took the first picture on Halloween 2019, when there were quite a few parents and kids walking around.  I’m not sure exactly what I did to over expose the lightning.  But seems there was a brief glimpse of reality seen in that picture.  Hooks of lightning descending over and into everybody.  I speculated that the lightning with a more reddish hue was is hooked into children, and the white lightning was is hooked into the adults.  I think the red lightning is a less intense radiation, and white lightning more intense radiation.

ChatGPT definitely turned the picture more creepy.
