Notice of post removal
#1
I think there should be a 'notice of post removal' that goes to the poster when the moderators remove their post.   Like at ATS.   Otherwise, when someone gets their post removed they don't know about it unless they happen to return to the thread and see the notice.   Lots of times people do a 'hit and run' troll post, get it removed, and then they never know they got a slap down so the affect of the removal is muted.

Just a suggestion.

I was literally just talking to another user about this, and was going to come here and make the exact same thread.

If we ever get this capability, would that give us the opportunity to argue the legitimacy of our post to possibly get it reinstated? Or would it be a "once it's removed, it's gone forever" situation?

Good luck TSK!!

Especially when it's select posts of a discussion leaving only one side of said discussion visible.

It makes for an unbalanced narrative.

Patience is a virtue.

Closing thread.

I hope TSK can rig a better method than we have now.

Individual staff actions can always be discussed privately with the staff member who did the removal.
If that is unknown, I'd start with Admin/Senior Staff.   DM one of them.

TBH, in all my years of modding, a post is not usually restored.

You always have the ability and right to state your case, however not on the open boards.   Also those conversations between you and staff are private and should stay that way.   Less drama.   Most times things can be handled in an amicable way for everyone.   Wink2
