No, I don't need a reason to listen to Rod Stewart.   I also don't need a reason to not listen to him.  

I saw him in concert in Phoenix during the Smiler tour, in 1970 something, during what I call the "blurry years".   He's one of those rock icons that are like a sculpture in time.  

I'm glad you brought him up.   I will have to dig up my cassettes to relive those times.  Yes, I know I can stream anything.   I come from an age where we wanted to own our music.  I converted from eight-track to cassettes, and the best of those to CDs.  I have an excellent and pure record collection also.  Probably should be in a museum.   Lol

Did you know the guy that creates that mandolin melody at the end of Maggie may isnt listed in the credits. Was some unnamed person I forgot the story going to dig it up.

The player on the famous mandolin part of Rod Stewart's "Maggie May" was Ray Jackson from the folk-rock band Lindisfarne. He was the mandolin player for the group, and though not credited at the time of the song's 1971 release, his iconic riff became a key feature of the hit single
