"The terminated funding supported critical pediatric public health programs serving communities across the country, including efforts to prevent sudden unexpected infant death, improve early detection of developmental disabilities and birth defects, strengthen pediatric care in rural communities, support adolescents facing substance use and mental health challenges, and improve standards of care for newborns. AAP warns that without immediate court intervention, these programs will end within weeks, staff will be laid off, and children and families nationwide will lose access to crucial child health programs."

I was thinking on this... and the money sink hole that it is ...
There's the suit itself...then the counter-suit which will follow...
there will be appeals, changes of venue, maybe even an estoppel or some such...
in the end they have to sue or the losses will be insurmountable...
the suit signals they are already lost and now just trying to keep from sinking...
There is now, and always have been, "too many unregulated appointees" (middlemen) in what
we laughingly refer to as the "US Health Care System."

Just to be clear.
I am pro science -- pro vaccinations to prevent spread of epidemics.
And I definitely do not listen to or take advice from idiots that don't know crap -- like RFK -- and trad moms.
Just to be clear.

I have rarely (if ever) found credible reports/studies outside of main contention science.
Q: Who is Brian Hooker and what is his connection to the CDC Whistleblower?
A: Brian Hooker is a biochemical engineer who has a son with autism. He believes his son’s autism was caused by vaccination. Hooker published an article in October 2014 in Translational Neurodegeneration based on Thompson’s claims. This paper was retracted by the publication (see below for more).
Q: What did Brian Hooker’s reanalysis of the CDC paper claim to show?
A: Hooker concluded in his paper: “The present study provides new epidemiologic evidence showing that African American males receiving the MMR vaccine prior to 24 months of age or 36 months of age are more likely to receive an autism diagnosis.”
Q: Why did Brian Hooker’s reanalysis of the CDC study show a higher risk of autism in African American boys who received the MMR vaccine?
A: Brian Hooker used a different methodology than the CDC authors did to analyze the data. When collecting data, you must know what type of study you are conducting to ensure you collect the data correctly. Using a different methodology after the data is collected will produce unreliable results. It’s similar to getting the ingredients for a cake, but then trying to make a pie.

I find that analogy to be interesting...
were I addressing the author of it I would offer an argument...
...because the data doesn't change just because of the fact that you didn't account for that means of data collection.
If you judge a cake as a pie it will fail. The freedom to adapt that technicality to science is suspect to me.
Observations are as they appear ... 'observations'
based upon those observations a judgement is risked...
"Foul!... He didn't obey the forms of Kanley!" a Dune fan might surmise.
This manner of exclusion is insufficiently justified as an eye-roll worthy exercise...
... but I needn't remind anyone here of who actually brought innovation and advancements to science...
It was people.
It wasn't corporations.
Corporations exist to protect, affirm, and grow, themselves first...
why on Earth would anyone think a corporation could 'serve' as a citizen?
How did Pharma actually pull it off? They are the government now, aren't they?
You know it happened... they are now the well-spring of medical wisdom, yes?
To question them is flame-worthy, right?
Certainly they have never exploited the trust implicit in the roles of "health care" they play... right?
None of them ever so much took a penny too much from half a billion people? right?
They never suppressed and lobbied for the benefit of profit over outcomes, right?
They never explicitly shielded themselves peremptorily before conducting an experiment on the entire planet.
So if they said "x" and someone dares says "y" they are worthy of disdain...
It just won't compile for me, I'm afraid.
Since I am a lowly layman I can only hope that some data comes along which will either affirm the claim or correct it.... although I can't lose sight of the fact that I am uncertain about this kind of pharmaceutical shotgun approach ... but I defer to their practical knowledge and experience in coping with whatever it turns out to be we have been doing wrong... or ignoring...

I value your posts
I will need some time to dissect this one — your response.
My oldest daughter was diagnosed ADHD at age 5/6 — way back in 74/75. It was just beginning to be recognized. Autism barely a whisper — high functioning Autism not even on the radar. ‘
For the last 18 years I’ve been raising my high functioning Autistic grandson. His mother— my younger daughter definitely undiagnosed high functioning Autistic.
I don’t think there’s anything I haven’t done/read/studied the last 50 years.
And I worked for a self-help publisher. Holistic nonsense is basically useless and some of it dangerous. But the gurus are raking in the cash.
As in all walks of life and professions there are charlatans. I try to following only credible information (my considerations).
