Hello everyone!

Glad to be able to join Deny Ignorance. I have been a lurker at AboveTopSecret for probably 15 years without ever becoming a member. I finally decided to become a member and lo and behold, seems like it is not possible anymore!

That’s all good though, it led me to find this place instead!

I am really a fan of Cryptozoology, mythical beings, and fantastical beings. I think all of the stories are based in truth which means all of the beings existed or still exist in some form.

After that, I have an interest in Aliens, Secret Societies and ghosts/spirits/demons.

Things that don’t peak my interest at all would be ANYTHING to do with politics. I have no desire to try and get into anything political.

Glad to be here though, looking forward to finally being able to discuss all the things that go bump in the night!

Welcome, AlienGhost!

There is a world of opportunities here... and you can even make your own...

Every topic you listed is of interest here, and I hope you will be inspired to make threads as well...

Never stop asking questions.

Thanks for the welcome guys!

I will absolutely make some of my own threads once I get my bearings around here.

Really looking forward to having conversations about these things instead of just the funny looks I get from co-workers.

I remember finding a degree of great solace when I discovered that there actually were people other than me who look and think upon these topics with enthusiasm.  I too underwent the ordeal of slowly realizing that many people just had no interest, or no real intention of discovering or unraveling the mysteries we discuss here.  They were more tuned into the offerings of the main stream and their pabulum of 'entertainment.'

Take your time, and feel free to share with us, anything you find, and every perspective you bring.

Once again, welcome.

Welcome.
I look forward to seeing you around.
Especially when you visit Secret Societies...one of the places I spent a lot of time when I first joined....that other place 20 years ago.

Over the past couple decades the old-style forums have been going defunct like there's no tomorrow. I started out with a philosophy forum back around 2000, that was sold, and nobody liked what the new owners did with the place so most left.

Tried a couple other philosophy forums but they mostly frowned on mixing the music up with the posts (boring), so that didn't jive.

Hung out on a few occult forums from 2015 – 2023 until they eventually went defunct. The remaining ones are inactive(dead). I think there's maybe still some active ones remaining, but I'm not really into that so much anymore.

I did also try some writing forums from around 2021 on but there was also issues with those. The circle jerk of mods and certain members were a real pain in the ass.

This place isn't like any of that, and is very well maintained and looked after by the staff.

Welcome to the show – like the Outer Limits or something. Was going to post the Outer Limits intro, but we'll skip that.

I have found that many people will be interested in the type things I like and they enjoy hearing different stories. However, they can’t contribute to the conversation and then I am always that weirdo who talks about Sasquatch and ghosts, lol!

I am really looking forward to being able to have conversations with people educated in these topics and don’t judge you for it.

I love the Outer Limits! Are you a fan of the original or the remake?

I enjoy both, the creativity in the original is light years beyond the remake, but obviously the cinematic sand filming of the new ones is better. I still think I lean towards the original.

That is another one that so many people just didn’t know about. I’ll mention Outer Limits and get the deer in the headlights from them. After explaining it, the response is “Oh, you mean Twilight Zone.”

Ugh.

Right now, I'm thinking I'd probably go more for the original for entertainment, but lately I'm just not as interested in theatrical performances and would rather see real events transpiring than re-enactments.

I guess I've changed in some way and would rather see and indulge in real life scenarios as opposed to the fabricating of such and because of this I'm not too keen on movies these days unless it's a really good Marvel or DC Comics.
