#1
Just wondering if any of you happened to catch the new episode of South Park screened last night?

Thoughts and opinions, people?

Because lets just say they did not hold back.

And gave some with both barrels.

I saw a 1-2 minute clip of the part you're probably referring to.  I mean, I thought it was pretty funny, but I also have zero respect or like for Trump.  I mean... it's South Park, I wouldn't take it too seriously.  They've made fun of things/people in the past that I -do- have deep respect for, and I still think it's funny.

I'll have to get back to you on that. I just bought seasons 1-25 on wal-mart bargain DVD and have not seen it in years!

I think memberberries was where I left off to give an idea how far behind I am. Glad to see they never jumped the shark

It's a cartoon, i dont think they are supposed to be taken seriously.

The full episode was hilarious from start to finish.

Yeah, i own the box sets as well.

Aye, the memberberries were good crack.

Can't beat a bit of South Park.

Then again, im also a big The Simpsons, Family Guy, and American Dad fan.

Also quite partial to a bit of Rick and Morty.

I usually love South Park.
I thought this opening show fell way short.
Half was funny and accurate.
The other half was just cartooning of false left wing talking points.

I liked everyone afraid of saying anything and getting sued.
I like that Trump was yelling "Ill sue' all over the place.
I liked the cheap carnival atmosphere at the White House.
I thought the whining over the tariffs was false.
I thought the 'rule by fear' thing and having him in bed with Satan like Saddam was false.
I thought the anti-Jew stuff being the fault of woke being dead was backwards.
The anti-jew stuff is the fault of woke ... not because it's dead.
It insinuated that Colbert was cancelled for nefarious reasons rather than for the FACT that
it's a one sided hate fest that lost 40 million dollars a year.
A couple of teeny weennie jokes would have been good.
But they went on and on .. and I was tired of seeing the tiny talking penis.
The show started out strong and then drove off a cliff.
The ending with a fake Trump naked stumbling in the desert was dumb.

Southpark is usually accurate and tells the truth no matter where it falls.
But this time they ended up just cartooning false left wing talking points.
In the start I thought it was going great, but then I was left disappointed.

At least you watched it.

I thought it was class in a glass.

And one of the best episodes made to date.

It hit home and hit hard.

Hard enough that the White House felt the need to release an enraged response only hours after the new episode aired.

To be honest, i was near enough on the floor with hysterics, especially by the end.

Can't wait until they do "Diddy" in this new season.

What's your favorite season/episode since that one's not your cup of tea?

Im quite partial to seasons 7 and 13.

And as to my favorite episode, probably "Make Love, Not Warcraft" or "The Coon" double.

THat doesn't mean anything.
Trump is so self important that he does a knee jerk response to a flea bite.
He jumps at anything.

If it didn't mean anything Flyers, they would not have responded, so........................

The smart man would simply have gotten on with the day.

They pushed his button, and Trump jumped.

I like pretty much everything.
Up until now they were accurate and skewered everyone equally.

Favorites that come to mind ...

... Winnie the Pooh in a Chinese jail.
That's cuz' in real life China outlawed Winnie the Pooh because  people were comparing him to their leader.  They look a lot alike.

... Strong Woman ... when the Vice Principal competes in physical competition and gets beat out by her old boyfriend who is muscled up and is now calling himself a woman.   Showed how absurd having men in womens sports was.

... PC Babies ... crying everytime anything doesn't go their way.

... Anything with Ike in it.   Luv Ike.

... the 'Privacy Tour' when they skewered Harry and Megan on their world wide 'we want privacy' tour.

... they did Muhammad in one of the episodes.  That goes against Islam, to make images of Muhammad.  They were fearless in that.

...  Liked the Tom Cruise in the closet episode.  I think that's the one where at the end everyone had anonymous names down for who worked on the episode.  I remember everyone was 'smith' or 'jones' in the closing credits.  Something like that.  That skewered Scientology and how their lawyers sue everyone and their goons go after people.

... I didn't get to see the streaming season.  We don't have streaming.  I heard Cartman became a rabbi.  That would have been fun to watch.

Don't like Mr. Hanky.  I think they retired him.
Didn't like Towlie either.  Think they retired him too.
