Apparently, I've switched realities. Again.

First my wife is acting totally different - obviously different than I'm used to.

Second, the big one - I've been watching Formula 1 racing since the mid-1980s when CBC, then ESPN and SPEED covered the races. I watched live as Senna was killed. I've got a pretty good memory of the races and the drivers. So back in the late 90s when Michael Schumacher was driving (probably the best F1 driver in history), his brother, Ralf, had a brief career in F1. Never really had the same talent as his brother, mostly mid pack and only raced for a few years.

Imagine my surprise when I now watch F1 races around 2000 and old Ralf is at least as good as Michael and even better, leading the points for several seasons. It never happened that way, he was at best a mediocre driver. At least in my universe.

There's some other things different as well, but mostly everything is the same. At least my twin turbo Stealth is still Emerald green and in the garage.

Where are you seeing that? As far as I could see, only in 2005 was Ralf in front of Michael at the start of that year's championship, for 3 or 4 races, after that Michael surpassed him like in all other years.

Have it going on with the mother in law right now. First 18 or so years, difficult is not the word. Dissparaging looks, constant miserable replies, eye contact that was kind of scary in a pyschic way, absolutely nothing I could do was worth a compliment, just a dirty look. No thankyous whasoever. Even had a nod nod wonk wink from her sisters husband when assembling a shed for her, he advised what it was like right at the start. Ok threeish years ago total and utter change. Absolutely lovely (literally overnight) and the nicest person you can ever meet. I've made no changes whatsoever, yet she is a pleasure to be around and looks at you like you are worthy of being alive. Defo Mandela spec change. No other reason can explain it.
