Too bad that they dont put her to death. The Cruel and Unusual Punishment for NOT using the Death Penalty doesnt seem to work in my book. Oh, thats because were civilized? No we arent as man hasnt evolved since the caves IMO

I could imagine that in maybe Berlin, but Bristol?

I'll be mindful on my next visit.

You have to ponder how an 18-year-old girl becomes so obsessed with Nazi ideology that she plans and chooses to attack people outside shops with an axe.

The fella is lucky he noticed her at the last minute, else it would quite possibly have been a murder investigation.

She pleaded guilty to attempted murder, and three charges of carrying a bladed weapon in a public place.

Thats her life ruined, and she's going to jail.

I don't think it's worth executing a stupid misguided little girl for racially aggravated attempted murder, Waterglass.

She will probably serve about 3 or 4 years in jail.

I mean, you have to hope she comes out the other side having learned her lesson and gets on with her life.

And puts all that malice and hatred behind her.

I would not bet money on her all the same.

And i get your point, cave-era instincts remain all around us.

But we've built societies, created laws, medicine, and science.

We are a work in progress, methinks.  Saint2

Well, its about the future murders as they know that they wont die. They will get free meals, exercise, dont have to work, smokes, drugs and all the free sex they could ever hope for. Prison actually is Heaven to some.  Thats where I am coming from. DETERRENCE

I know woman that have been to prison here in the UK.

Not anywhere near as bad as some of the HMP for men.

But it's not quite a cakewalk either.

A wee lassie like that, yeah, she will get plenty of requests for free sex.

But i don't think Nazis hold with being gay much, buddy.

Point of fact, they are vehemently against it, are they not?

As to free smokes, nope, she will be issued a vape she can use in her cell, thats about it.

It will be a Youth Offender's institution she lands in until she's 21 anyway.

And chances are that will equate to the other place, as opposed to heaven.

Those are worse than the jails.

But if you attack people with axes, you take what you get...

I was wondering how long radicalization takes on young people, as this person was only 18 years old.

"Online radicalization is now a rapid process, enabled by short-form extremist content on platforms like TikTok, X, and Facebook.  Algorithms amplify emotionally charged material, accelerating exposure and influence. For example, in Singapore, youth radicalization linked to far-right ideologies—such as the case of Nick Lee, who planned attacks on mosques—was influenced by online content and manifestos within a short timeframe.
While traditional radicalization could take months or years, modern digital recruitment bypasses traditional safeguards like parents, educators, and community leaders.  The process often begins with exposure to harmful narratives online, followed by grooming, isolation, and reinforcement through extremist communities, including online gaming and encrypted messaging apps.

Experts emphasize that early intervention is critical, as the window for prevention closes quickly once radicalization takes hold.  A public health approach—focusing on digital literacy, mental health support, and community building—can help inoculate youth against extremist ideologies before they become vulnerable."

Another reason to police children's online spaces?

I agree with monitoring/policing children online.

I just don't think banning them from the likes of social media.

Is easily enforceable or apt to work.

Unfortunately, radicalization seems to be taking place on Tik Tok, X and facebook all common social media avenues.

It's not something i know a lot about Quint.

I have FB for friends and family.

However, I'm not a massive fan or contributor.

And to be honest, i don't use or even understand TikTok(showing my age). LoL

I don't use Tik Tok but my partner does and all I hear from it is screaming and insane laughter, so I'll pass.

I don't use X, never did, it's just people passing on opinion and biased beliefs.

Now Facebook is interesting, I recall I was on one discussion group and one of the members there mentioned that the exact group had the same group but without any moderation/restrictions of content...I must say it was a nasty experience where certain members were relentless at pushing their agenda/beliefs.

Sort of like a dark web area within Facebook.
