But let us return to Sumer and continue in hot pursuit. In Tablet VI of the Enuma elish we find an interesting passage. In it are mentioned the Anunnaki, who were the sons of An (An means 'heaven'), also known as Anu the great god. These Anunnaki were fifty in number and were called 'the fifty great gods'. Nearly always these Anunnaki were anonymous, the emphasis being on their number and their greatness and their control over fate. No certain identifica¬ tion of any important Sumerian god with any one of the Anunnaki exists except peripherally (as I shall describe later). In fact, all Sumerologists have been puzzled by the Anunnaki. They have not been 'identified' and no one knows exactly what is meant by them. They recur often throughout the texts, which makes it all the more annoying that nowhere are they explicitly explained. But their apparent importance to the Sumerians cannot be questioned.

For a real navigational star-map to be useable, it would have to accommodate 3 dimensional and temporal coordinates (more-so if the alleged 'aliens' were using some sort of relativistic effect for travel).

The map would also need to be dynamic, adapting itself to the movements of astronomical objects, which are all moving around in all sorts of directions, all the time.

Consider that the orbit of the Earth is 186 million miles in diameter. It would be a shame to want to land on Earth, but miss it by 100 million miles, with a star and probably other objects in the way to getting there, and with which you might collide, too.

Two points, my star chart book is a professional one dated, I believe, on the 1955 sky.  Most stars are still right there!  My application of comet aphelion points to those areas is based on the scientific orbits provided by astronomy professionals to those locations.  You really need to go read the 49 pages of the info I suggested.  It goes into scientific detail how the GPS would work for star travellers with very fast ships.

Looked at a 3D map and played with dates. Best guess is a Canopus is the star I was looking for. Doesn't mean anything to me.

I differ with you there:  I would not recommend buying the book.  Yes, it has a catchy title, but 99.9% of the 290 pages are about the writer wrestling with material irrelevant to the book's title.

In Ancient Egypt, that is to say (in my opinion) the Atlantean refugees in what would become Egypt, the soul traversed out of the body at death (up the spine like kundalini) to dwell as a Star in Orion. 
The dog star Sirius also played a large part in the navigation of the soul.



Also in the tradition of the A.:.A.:. the star Sirius sheds it's gnosis on us.  

Is God to live in a Dog?
