Snippy The Horse Mute.

Following on from some of the 'bizarre' cases listed on this thread there's a pretty fascinating interview below with the co-author of a new book on the 'Snippy the horse mute' explaining how she uncovered new facts from the newly rediscovered APRO files (also photos, audio, documents etc.)

Katie Paige discusses some truly curious info such as physical trace evidence (including burn marks and circles on the ground) and how the property next door was locally known as 'dead cow ranch' - also brought up is separately located witness testimony describing unusual 'lights' above the field around the appropriate time of the mute.

Don't know what happened to this poor horse but there are loads of unusual factors including a completely 'bare' skull and back leg (also broken indicating that it was 'dropped from above') - also the visible bones of the carcass were initially 'bleached white' but one week later turned 'bright pink' and one week after that turned 'black' (any ideas there guys?)

Truly intriguing stuff and this case was literally world famous back in the late 1960's - apparently mysterious animal mutilations are still occurring in the area and nobody is any the wiser as to what's causing them.

Further new details (and photos) on the Snippy mute case:

Rocky Mountain Ranch Research and Katie Paige dive into the mysteries of history's first nationally recognized mutilation case. She reveals long-lost A.P.R.O. (Aerial Phenomena Research Organization) and N.I.C.A.P. (National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena) documents that prove Snippy the horse was a 3-year-old male gelding Appaloosa colt, among other things, and deeper mysteries that surrounded his death.

She will reveal never-before-seen color photographs of newborn Snippy and his mother Lady, and UFOs photographed in the valley. Working with the King family, of the SLV (San Luis Valley), and David Marler’s National UFO Historical Records Center in Rio Rancho, NM. The SLV is in dark sky territory and is in the most active high-strangeness location in the world, both then and now. This is where it all started, with Snippy’s headline news that went viral nationwide in 1967.

First heard about Snippy the horse from the Louis Theroux episode on UFOs. Total classic one of the favourite docs out there from that era. Plenty of mute stuff on there from memory.

hmmmmaa..could be a rebalancing of the chakra's. Recently went through this transformation myself.


On a serious note, I don't think this is the only case with strange decomposition?

Color of bones probably change because of bacteria or algae or mold. If there is climate data available it should be easy to check conditions. They say it's "clean", but probably allot grosser on close inspection and life grow and crawls around.

Nice one mate certainly a rather strange incident and nice to have the voice recordings of folks like Nellie Lewis confirming certain aspects - also the maps of the zig-zagging routes the horses took (as if they were being corralled).

The claims of scorched marks on the earth surrounding the carcass, flattened bushes and six round indentations on the ground (arranged in a circle) are also intriguing and was put in mind of cattle mutes from around Cannon Air Force base in the late 1970's describing similar things.

Will check out that Theroux episode and there's another freaky horse case here as described in Dr Jacques Vallee's 1965 book 'Anatomy of a Phenomenon' (also other weird incidents discussed in the vid).

On a serious note, I don't think this is the only case with strange decomposition?

Haven't heard or read about the carcass bones turning from white to pink to black over a period of weeks before mate - a new one for me and I appreciate you addressing it.

Bacteria/algae/mold is some mighty fine speculation and suppose it would be interesting to see if there are any real word analogues in the everyday business of cattle ranching - have heard a number of 'mute' reports which involve insects not going near the carcass; a sickly sweet medicinal smell and no indication of blood loss or footprints (with indications of the animal.being dropped from above) but never this.

They say it's "clean", but probably allot grosser on close inspection and life grow and crawls around.

Yep sometimes the appearance of the affected areas are described as 'steamed clean' and have heard interviews with professional butchers who say even partial removal of cranial sinew tissue is extremely difficult to achieve - especially within a short timeframe (in a field).

RIP Snippy.  Photo looks like it was taken long after the fact. The horse died there from looking at the ground and that's kind of strange.

This is too gross and grim for me to investigate more.  

But do check for the strange or absent decomposition thing in other cases when you come across it. 100% I heard it before.

Nevertheless it's still going on in many continents around the world.

Lots of different animals involved and as well as 'steamed clean' jaw strips you've also got cleanly excised tongues, ventral neck puncture wounds and small teardrop shaped abdominal holes through which inner organs are removed.

It is strange though, this must surely be a faction or a human. Warnings to farmers maybe, cover ups, gangs or whatever.

"Cover up to test for contamination" this was a good one.
